Will definitely be filing a lawsuit against this establishment for a bouncer's excessive use of force. Under law, unless threatened with physical harm, bouncers are not allowed to use force and harm you. This particular bouncer's attitude and aggressiveness towards an individual who shouted at him led an individual to fall because of forceful actions. Enjoy this business... while it's still open because it won't be for long.
If you show up during happy hour the bartenders are amazing and the smaller crowd is made up of great people. Later in the evening though, as drink prices get higher and drinks get weaker, you end up with a lot of the TCU trash that make you feel incredibly unwelcome.
A female bartender there always charges double what some of the other bartenders charge and I think it's time you all got a proper DJ. The guy that DJs at reflection on the patio is amazing and current. This club could stand to class it up a bit being one of the only popular gay bars in FTW and it has such potential
Always "hit & miss" in this place. Most of the time bartenders too busy checking their phones to serve drinks and are not very outgoing. Ivana Tramp is the only friendly employee I've met in the place.
As of May 2017 one month later, the non-smoking policy has apparently been reversed although there's no official announcements due to the press that was given for their decision to stop smoking indoors. This is not a rating of the front line staff excluding management, because: 1The bartenders were nice. 2 the Selena performer was giving her whole life 3 The music later in the night was entertaining 4 the drink prices were courteous. At this point though with all the inconsistencies and the smokey atmosphere, I've given up on Rainbow Lounge being an option for a fun night out, time to head to Dallas.
I was in there a few months back, for the first time in 20 years. 7:30 on a Friday night and there were 2 people besides me. Walked and asked a very handsome friendly guy for a margarita. He looked confused and muttered "I don't think we have those" which was odd as it appears to be a fully stocked bar. I ordered an easier to make drink and asked for the Wi-Fi password. More confusion. He said "I don't even know what that means" then he walked away. The other 2 customers left, I'd finished my drink, planning on another. I sat a very long time. VERY. And not a single person was in sight. I left and went down the street and had a margarita in my hand and the Wi-Fi password within a couple minutes. I grew up in FW and hung at this bar in the 80s when it was 651. It used to be a fun bar
So good club and I measured it Yesterday I closed, I went for 2 occassion and the super pass with my husband somebody wants to tell me if it was that they moved of citio or hill completely. If that was how the characters are now acting their show
Everything was absolutely wonderful, until someone affiliated with the bar blatantly sexually harassed one of the dancers in front of me during the Whitney Paige casting and memorial. Really? Way to be awful, guys.
Tom P McAvoy owner of the Rainbow Lounge verbally attacked me today on Facebook and threatened the well being of my family over a restaurant review I wrote 8 months ago on an establishment that he is unaffiliated with. I screen shot the very hostile attack by him and have posted it in the photo section of this review site. People should know what kind of unstable person he is. I would not spend a dime in his club!
Went there for New Year's Eve. Had SO MUCH fun!! The atmosphere is great, the staff is super friendly, and the drinks are very affordable
