Raising The Bar Detroit Foundation is recognized by the State of Michigan and IRS as a tax exempt non-profit organization and a charity.
Raising The Bar Detroit Foundation was founded February 14th, 2017 by Marco Iaconis aka “MarcoPolo Italiano”, a Detroit Hip Hop Artist/Producer and the owner of Raising The Bar Detroit clothing line. Marco and Raising The Bar Detroit’s co-founder, Steve Astemborski, had a vision of uplifting Detroit and its surrounding neighborhoods by breathing energy and life into the community. The brand is more than just a clothing line, it is a movement created to motivate local entrepreneurs and artists. Being passionate about promoting positivity and growth, and being a full-time father of 2 young children of his own, Marco knew he wanted to do more. He wanted himself and the artists of his record label to mentor young, troubled youth in need of guidance. That’s when Raising The Bar Detroit Foundation was born. He realized the sky’s the limit! Using his entertainment knowledge of promoting events, he decided to start several programs aimed at assisting many different charities that provide assistance to and promote awareness of: foster kids, children with cancer, children with autism, anti-bullying, providing meals for children, and providing extracurricular activities for children. Stay tuned, this is only the beginning!
The mission of the Raising The Bar Detroit Foundation is to support organizations dedicated to improving the lives of children in the community. Our goal is to invest in their future by giving them an opportunity to grow.
We have several programs aimed at assisting charities who are involved with foster children, children with cancer, children with autism, anti-bullying, providing meals for children, and providing extracurricular activities for children. Our long term goal is not only to assist local charities, but to provide direct assistance to children through a mentorship program of our own.
