I had my Grandmother and Grandfather serviced through Ramsey Wallace Funeral Services and both times they were very accommodating working with our budget. My grandmother looked beautiful. It is a black owned business thus why I went to them. I'm sure he would of done a wonderful job with my grandfather who was a white guy but he was cremated. I was able to create a nice video tribute and they played it during the ceremony and such. They took care of my family as if we were royalty.
The worst experience ever, using this funeral home. From the beginning Ramsey Wallace showed very little compassion for my family. We had to plan two funeral services my mother and brother. At times his demeanor came off very condescending. We had to push the services for my mother back because the date we wanted was unavailable. Originally we were supposed to view the body of my brother before he was cremated. Ramsey gave us his word that he called the coroners office and they told him that my brothers body looked beautiful. Days later he picks up the body and we receive a call that we can no longer view the body because of the condition it was in. That was lie #1 he told. Days before the service my father and sister dropped off the clothes my mother would wear for her Homegoing celebration. They asked how  she looked and again Ramsey himself tells them she looks exactly how she looked when he picked her up from the coroners office. The day of the service at exactly 10:05am we get a call from Ramsey saying we should do a closed casket due to the condition of my mother's body lie #2.However at this point he had already brung my mother's body to the church and opened the casket for others to begin the viewing which started @ 10:00am. His assistant Diedra was by far the most inadequate person I have met. When asked questions about why weren't we notified about this before the service started she began to place all the blame on Ramsey as if she wasn't representing his company. My family spent entirely too much money to be treated the way we were and to have our mothers body look as horrible as it did. We have yet to receive my brothers ashes or my mothers fingerprints so that we can create keepsakes. The unprofessionalism was mind blowing and I sincerely hope that Ramsey makes his wrongs right moving forward!!!
I am not an employee, nor am I a family member. I am a actual person that had my brother services at Ramsey Wallace Funeral home. I was happy in every way. I didn't know anything about planning a funeral and they helped me every step of the way....unlike my family. My brother was a big 49ers fan, they put a 49ers hat in his casket and put a red cloth under his head, that matched his 49ers sash. I received so many comments on how peaceful he looked. I was scared of the visual impact it would have on me seeing my brother in a casket and even though it was hard excepting the loss, seeing how peaceful he looked helped. The staff dressed professional and was professional with me. I recommend them.
Got over really bad. Most of those people rating 5 work for him. My father in law passed away a couple of months ago. Mind you we were new to this whole funeral planning. He charged us for the casket, and advised us that the prices were the same whether you buy or rent. So, to buy or rent was $1,695.00. So we just bought it, even though my father in law was cremated. He never gave us the casket back. We have seen him twice since the funeral and not once did he acknowledge the casket. He got over real bad. He probably resold the casket, which is illegal per the law. The service was ok, but, just be careful. If your new to funeral planning just make sure you take someone knowledgeable with you. He will get you. All of his woman employees look and dress like prostitutes.
As a funeral arranger in my area, i find it uncouth for this company to be soliciting work via my facebook friends, Not only do they tell me, but it is an embarrassment to our field, there are career resources for such things.
Amazing staff kind loving and genuine this is truly a beautiful place with amazing people that just want to help thank you Dr wallace and everyone working at the Ramsey Wallace funeral home
