Nice RV park. Service with a smile when we got here. Also they have a good shop! Facilities were good, toilets and showers and there is a pool and park for the kids. RV spaces are good with the necessary electricity sewage and water stations, gas propane on site too. Overall a good park and easy to find. Only thing stopping from giving it the 5 is the price is reasonable and the location from the RV park is overlooked by trees and you can not see any views really. Also there was a horrible smell of toilet sewage throughout the night.
Nice campground. I had a tent spot near the back of the property. The space was pretty standard with a tent pad for a standard medium tent 2-3 actual people / a 4 person tent. Didn't use amenities pool, patio, shop, clubhouse as I arrived late. Late check-in was simple. Quiet until morning some local construction, not their fault. Far enough from highway traffic noises weren't bad but can be heard. Would stay again.
This park was fine and dandy. They were honest about the size of the spaces they have. We have a 38 foot bumper pull and large truck and we were fine in a pull through spot up front . Nice clean pool. Quiet park with lots of small and large trees. It's state-park-like. Not concrete and asphalt like the "luxury" parks. If that's what you want then go elsewhere. This was quaint & Quiet. Pretty park and Relaxing The pool was clean and open. Refreshing on a hot Santa Fe day! We played ping pong after swimming too. The staff was friendly, knowledgeable and accommodating in every way. Glad we gave it a shot. Would def stay again.
We camped here for a week. It was close enough to be just about anywhere in Santa Fe within 20-25 minutes. Laundry facilities nice, pool was very chilly but continued to warm over our stay. The playground while small, kept our kids 14-2 asking to go back for more. There is a rec room with a few games and a theater that they play a movie nightly. Showers were clean, and had hot water with plenty of pressure. The bathroom that did not have plumbing pleasantly did not smell as they typically do. The campsites would be the only down fall, while they were very clean, not all sites had the same amenities, not all had a fire ring. There was not a whole lot of room without getting a group site that was far from our campers. Our camper does not have a bathroom so no sewer hook-ups weren’t a problem, and the distance to the bathrooms was good. Lots of things to see and do “close by.” Staff very helpful for suggestions of anything local. Did have Wi-Fi available but I chose a tech free week, so can’t say how good it was. Nearby activities: Hiking, shopping, historical sites, casinos, food of all sorts
Pretty park : Good, roomy sites, power, water and sewer. Friendly staff. Nice walking trail behind the park. Close enough to Santa Fe without being on top of the city. Only downside was the wifi. It was painfully slow, even with a good signal. But nothing that would deter us from staying here again!
This is a great little campground, clean, friendly and all the facilities worked well. I particularly appreciated the laundry facilities. Well spaced out sites with plenty of room to walk the dogs. They have a nice little store and lots of information on the local attractions. There is a ping pong table in a 3 season community room. I would love to stay here again when we return to the area!
Beautiful full service campground with nice amenities including a take-one, give-one library, pool, theater, rec room, laundry room, dog park, friendly staff, and a walking trail. Downside is we found space was a problem. The park is better suited for SMALL campers and golf carts, as the lots & roads are narrow, curvy, unlevel, & too close together. Big rigs have left their marks on the trees. Once we gained a neighbor, we no longer felt comfortable sitting outside due to the close proximity, & we had a problem hitching our vehicles due to the lot being unlevel. Wi-fi was a little sketchy. Nearby activities: Most activities are 10-15 miles from campground. Walkability: Good walking trail with a variety of trees , brush, & cacti.
This campground has uneven dirt/gravel roads, but the sites are level. The campground is nestled in piñon and juniper giving it a rustic forest atmosphere. It’s like remote camping but with all the amenities. We will camp here again.Service: 5/5
Made a reservation on their on line system on Sunday which it had not problem accepting. the re-booked 10 days of subsequent reservations based on my confirmation. Monday morning I get a cancellation with a note from Tony saying "Had to cancel reservation due to the 5th Wheel being too long for any of our sites. Sorry. 6/25 Tony". I called Tony to discuss an he said they know the reservation system is a problem and that it accepts big rig reservations when they don't actually have any sites to accomodate them. He stated this is a common problem with reservation systems but have to say, I have never experienced this ever before so I'm gonna say it's not all that common. Now I have to try to find a place to stay for 3 days, 2000 miles from home during 4th of July week. I'm sure its a great place but my experience was anything but.
We stayed there May 18-22, 2023. The staff was very nice and accomdated my request for and end spot, when I booked. We had a full hook-up site. #115, which was great as it was on the end and right next to the hiking trail. The trail was great for our dogs. It was .43 miles long and wound around the upper, outer perimeter of the park nicely done!. You can't pick your spot as they have designated areas for larger rigs, but you can request and they will try to accomodate. The sites to the right of Santa Fe Trail/left of Palace Ave have trees, are decently spaced, and are for smaller campers ours is 23ft. The ones to the right of Palace Ave don't have trees and are for larger, class As mostly. I thought Kiva Ct. was a nice area as well. The camp store had limited supplies but did have some essentials, including ice & nice firewood bundles for $8. There is a very well stocked Family dollar about 1.5 mi away with everything you need as well. The playground looked ok and the pool area looked clean but quite small if the place was full. They had a little movie theatre room, which was nice. It's actually an easy drive into town, down Old Las Vegas Hgwy. There were several very good eateries nearby, includin Cafe Fina, Harry's Roadhouse, and Bourbon Grill. We drove through the KOA, just down the road, and were happy that we chose Rancheros. The KOA had a much more crisp look and had a really nice playground area. But I didn't see a hiking trail nor were there many trees. We didn't go in the store. Overall it's a nice place but as with ALL campgrounds, I think the spots are a bit close, especially if he place is full we're used to boondocking!
