Those of you who follow me know I’m a movie buff! This theater had everything you need to watch some good films. I went three times while staying in Palm Desert and got good service every time. Concessions were good, popcorn fresh, and soft drinks perfect. The seats were old style without recliners, but still very comfortable. The screens were clean and the sound good. If you want to catch a movie and in Palm Desert this is the place to go.
Beautiful theatre and enjoy seeing movies here whenever I’m in town. Always has good movie selections, sound system is excellent and they have value days two times a week for members. I highly recommend this theatre!
I purchased 17 tickets and over $120 worth of snacks. The lady at the snack bar was very helpful. My problem was the theater was hot, uncomfortably warm. It was much cooler in the lobby. I spoke to guest service and they said they would cool down the theater but it was still warm. My cousin went and spoke with manager and offered to move us to another time we were in the middle of the movie with 12 young kids, not happening. I would’ve been ok with free movie passes so my nieces and nephews can come back and watch another movie in a cooler theater I don’t live in California. I would recommend going to a different movie theater if you are looking for a nice cool place to watch a movie. ———- Update: spoke with manager, he said it’s hot because it’s hot outside. I told him people usually go to the theaters escape the heat. He gave us 10 movie passes. I took them and gave them to my cousins that live here. I guess if you plan to watch a movie on a hot day then don’t go to this theater because it will be hot inside too.
Convenient location. Decent price for snack bar items. Cool little arcade place to let kids play before the movie starts. Customer service is the reason why I gave them 5 stars. We’ve been several times and the theaters are nearly employ which lets my little Ones ask questions throughout the ENTIRE movie with out people shushing us.
Filthy. Overpriced. Uncomfortable. Poor Service. What more could you ask for? The last time I had an experience like this, I was flying on Spirit Airlines! The theater complex was filthy. It looked like people had thrown popcorn and soda all over the floors and the theater.smelled like it hadn’t been cleaned really gross. The food and movies were WAY overpriced, even for a theater - $5.99 for a SMALL soda! The seats are so uncomfortable and closer than most airlines! I’m surprised it’s legal under fire code! The service of the employees is, well… what service??? They don’t care and they are slower than molasses in the freezer! Seriously, Regal, you think this is ok? I won’t be back and I really don’t recommend anyone ever go to this theater. My back actually hurt after watching the movie.
I like the seats at the river movie theater better. They recline. My knees are right up against the back of the seats in front of me. Had a hard time sitting there for a 156-minute movie plus the 25 minutes of commercials. Plus, only butter and salt for popcorn, no jalapenos.
I have been coming to this theater for many years and have a great time each time. From having birthday parties in the party room for my daughters to many date nights and day dates the staff has always been amazing, and the management has ensured that we have had the best time. After Covid I was unsure if they would reopen but they have and need the community support to keep them here for years to come.
Seats need to be a tad wider in IMAX. They're more comfortable in the other theaters. Make sure you have DEEP pockets if you're going to buy anything at the concession counter. The prices are Sky High! ‍‍‍ So good movie going experience, but I would suggest you bring your Own snacks.
I went to see Oppenheimer on IMAX. Never been there before. I feel that after Covid-19 movie theaters in general look outdated. The price is a little expensive and the quality of the iMAX is good but not spectacular. Sound felt ok, little loud and outdated. I hope that people keep going to watch movies on big screens and support local movie theaters, because thats why movies are made for. Still I got the feeling that this experience will be gone anytime soon. Movie was super good thou
Sadly, it's just aged. The parking lot was dry looking and filled with sand yes I realize we live in the desert. Nobody at the boxoffice, just a sign to come in to buy tickets. Popcorn was from the bottom of the popper. The seats were worn and cracked. Next time I will drive a few more miles.
