Went to visit the Rangerette Museum after visiting the East Texas Oil Museum. We didn’t even know there was a Rangerette Museum! We only saw it upon pulling out of the Oil Museum. I would actually call this less of a museum and more of a display. While there were incredible moments, the whole concept was not fully thought out. I think there could have been better execution in some things: 1 across a few walls there are pivot merchandising systems where you just have to flip through pictures and information where I think it would have been more useful to erect multi-sided walls to showcase the photos because there is plenty of open space to do this, 2 the retail space was so cluttered with rounders you couldn’t get to the pictures on the walls, and 3 I think it would have been advantageous to have more memorabilia woven in with all the photos. While we did enjoy our time there I just kept thinking how much better it could have been. But still a wonderful place to visit! Plus it is free!
I went here when i was fifteen. It was a fasinating museum. The Rangerettes were not the only interesting facts but as usual they stole the show in these photos. The oil derricks were also spilling over from ages past. Truly a must see museum. #Jane'sFriend1 @Cjwillis72
