How we started/About Us
My name is Tricia Becnel-Scott. I graduated from Xavier University with a degree in Chemistry in 1991. I've worked in the chemical field as a chemist for over 25 years. I love chemistry and hair, and this lead me to study the chemistry of hair. I decided to combine my two loves and create a business. Raw Beauty is the result.��Raw Beauty offers natural products for all hair types. We strive to use the best ingredients from around the world. Our research has resulted in products that are conditioning and moisturizing, and contain some of the finest oils and butters available. All of our products are pH balanced, with the exception of products created with cold process soaps. All products are free of parabens, mineral oil, petroleum jelly, sulfates, and silicones. Our fragrance oils are phthlate free. We aim to use natural/naturally derived ingredients. Our emulsifiers, thickeners, and perservatives have been proven safe to use by the Cosmetic Ingredient Review. We are constantly researching new and exotic ingredients to use in our products.
