I had Reba as my instructor and she was very knowledgeable in the field of emergency medicine. Even though the instructor is a paramedic and follows the EMS protocols on scene, the course was very informative on the ins and outs of pre and in-hospital settings. The instructor was up to date on information and showed qualitative research from current evidence based practices. Lots of heart rhythm practice was provided for student learning benefits. The instructor provided teaching for our understanding of normal sinus rhythms vs lethal ventricular arrhythmia the different types of heart blocks. The course discussed the importance of stroke care and BEFAST. I have taken away more efficient knowledge and understanding of the many different and important ACLS algorithms and can’t wait to utilize in my practice as an RN BSN.
