I’ve been going to Rochester Center for Behavioral Medicine for approximately 8 years. Since I started therapy, I would recommend anyone in the practice. My physician and therapist are Sarah Hutton, MD and David Price. They’ve helped me so much and I appreciate their care more than they could ever imagine. The entire staff is compassionate, kind, empathetic, and very efficient. I would highly recommend the Rochester Center for Behavioral Medicine to anyone. Some people don’t think they need therapy. If you question yourself and wonder if you need therapy, GO! It’s been a life changing experience for me! You can check out all of the doctors and therapist on their website.
I have been with the therapist Alex Siegel for over 2 years now and she has absolutely changed my life! As a teenager girl I often find it hard to connect to therapists but she is so open and made me feel comfortable. She is so empathic, intelligent , and incredibly funny. I especially appreciate how knowledgeable she is about her practice and will adapt to your needs/desires to give you the best help possible. Alex helped me with everything from school stress to family relationships to better dealing with and understanding my mental health struggles and I could seriously not be more grateful for everything that she has done for me. I have absolutely became a better version of myself with her as my therapist and would recommend her to absolutely everybody:
Yvonne helped ease my stress regarding my son, Caleb’s intense and difficult medication regimen. I felt hopeful after we discussed some changes that may help Caleb cope better throughout the entire day both at school and during the days he is home with more downtime. As always, Yvonne is extremely knowledgeable, but allows for parent input. She is always patient, ready to answer and questions and concerns I may have, regardless of how busy she is. I feel blessed our family has Yvonne to help navigate the difficult medical and psychological challenges we must face as a family. She is very special and incredibly important part of our fight to help our 2 teenage boys with autism survive this world.
I immediately felt safe with Marni Stone. I like her style & personality. I feel confident that she will help restore my joy & zest for life. The office staff has been very professional & well organized. I feel extremely grateful to be given this opportunity! Thank you!!!
Sara was really nice and I enjoyed my appointment with her. She was very helpful and lended a listening ear. My only complaint is I wasn’t asked if I wanted, could or would be switched from my usual Dr so I was confused when it was someone else when my appointment started. A heads up would have been nice, but it was fine and it didn’t ruin my day because she was very kind and it was just a check in so no biggie. When I asked her at the end she was awesome and said my doctor had put me in her schedule but if I wanted to book back with him that would be completely fine. She made me feel in control, no guilt whatsoever, as well as making me super comfortable when I felt bad asking. As usual Rcbm is the utmost professional and everyone I have dealt with there has been the helpful, considerate and caring.
I give this place ALL of the stars IF you have medical insurance. That is why its only getting 4. My insurance didn't cover it. Paying out of pocket has been extra hard and if you take the way I was treated by the billing department out of it, there's not enough stars! To rate the therapeutic side, it's phenomenal! Taylor is A+ of a therapist. I'd go back to her in a heartbeat. Taylor gave me a fresh perspective on therapy. Offering tools and exercises to help with personal growth and dealing with incredible stress during a pandemic and a chronic health condition. I will truly miss her and when I have decent health coverage, I'd be so excited to have her again. Best experience I've ever had with therapy. Thank you so so much, Taylor. You made a great impact on me. Testing and Diagnostics. The testing is top notch. Extremely thorough. My test results were never explained to me, which I hope will be. I think it's state of the art and progressive and I wish I could take more tests. They make it fun, not exhausting. Medical side. Dr. Young is a godsend. Can't say enough good things about him! Extremely knowledgeable but not arrogant. Compassionate and I understand why he's so sought after. His excellent reputation definitely preceeds him and clearly earned. If you have good medical insurance, go here! You'll never find better treatment. Prime example of where to go to experience "first class" treatment In diagnostic/comprehensive testing and a new take on therapy. They're active listeners who take away the negative stigma of adhd and reaching out for help. Now back to why I left, my insurance not covering the services and the billing department. They were extremely difficult to work with, overly aggressive/insensitive to put it kindly. As someone who has done billing for a psychiatrist office, that department could use some work. If you have insurance that covers their services and needs them, its worth the wait to get in. Still an office of great prestige and professionalism and I'd highly recommend Dr. Young and Taylor! Thank you both!
Appreciate the reliance on research to heavily guide individual treatment. Of course, I also appreciate the determination to learn in a research setting from the patients that are being seen at the time, and not only those who were in previous studies. In my appointments it is obvious that my care is also individualized. Research alone cannot provide good treatment. I am thankful to be treated in a location that values both! [None of us can be expected to be exactly the same as the group, but things that happen to humans are part of the human experience and can be expected to happen to MANY other humans!] Thanks for your reliance on this in determining a treatment plan. Thanks also for the extra bits of education that opened my mind. I had some preconceived notions that stopped me from being seen at a much younger age. Glad to have not delayed any longer. Hoping to find life just a bit easier.
I have worked with Laurel for almost 2 years. The visits started via telehealth during Covid-19 and have continued to this day. The set up is simple and friendly. Laurel is very professional and caring. When the medication has caused some heavy side effects, she made suggestions to try different until finding one that works better. She is also timely responsive to my follow-up questions after each visit. During visits I was very comfortable to discuss my health conditions as well as any improvements or need more attention because Laurel keeps detailed notes from the past visits. She is very understanding toward my request for medication before traveling of long period. In general, I have good experience and less anxiety when working with Laurel.
Waited months to just get a phone consult which was canceled 2 days before because I didn't fill out the prescreen stuff online. Which I did, numerous times, but their system wouldn't accept it due to some glitch. And I was in contact with them via email and phone so they KNEW I was trying to get it completed but couldn't because of THEIR STUPID SYSTEM. Great way to treat a mental health patient. 0/5 stars would be more accurate
Paige Jonna has been such a blessing. She is smart, kind and patient. Her and Marnie Stone, my therapist have been amazing. I'm so glad I found them, and they haven't given up on me. They listen and offer helpful advice.
