Ready to Hand: SAORI Philadelphia is a community fiber arts studio and textile gallery. RTH specializes in teaching SAORI improvisational hand-weaving, sells SAORI looms & accessories, and develops SAORI programs in institutions and the community for healing and learning. Ready to Hand is owned and operated by fiber artist Leslie Sudock, a certified SAORI weaving instructor. It is the only authorized SAORI studio in the greater Philadelphia area.
Ready to Hand: SAORI Philadelphia offers classes in SAORI improvisational weaving. Instruction in traditional weaving, and non-traditional "off-loom" weaving is available to adults and children, as well as classes in shibori indigo dyeing, and textile printing and other fiber arts (knitting, crochet, sewing, felting, etc). Pre-registration is required for all classes and open-studio sessions. The studio's workspace is also available by appointment. Contact RTH for additional information.
