Ream's had a bit of a reputation for advertising low but never really having great prices. They are an Associated Foods store, so quality is decent. This store is a bit older and does sometimes have some transients in the parking lot. Given the neighborhood, I think they do OK. Generally the service is friendly.
Great neighborhood grocery store. Mostly Friendly employees. 2 stars because the prices are super high compared to other grocery stores. And the seafood section... Is terrible! I asked the seafood employee, if he knew the expectation date on the frozen shrimp, his quick response was 'no.' I then asked if he kmew how long it had been in the freezer quick, short, response 'no.' Absolutely not impressed! Yummy freezer burn.
Good atmosphere! The best part was the manager Traci she is AWESOME very friendly and helpful. Everyone seems to think so also. She definitely should have a raise you don't find them like her every day,
Walked into this Reams location with expectations of shelves being filled with items for purchase. However, upon entering the produce section there is limited items and that continues throughout the rest of the store. No signage stating why. I had a hard time finding items I needed and didn't even get some of what I needed as it was not in stock. I finished getting what I could abd get to the checkout stand with making a comment that the shelves are pretty bare. She just said yeah. I then asked if they were closing or something and she said yes that they are closing. It would be helpful to have signage on the doors and/or throughout the store with this indication so shoppers are aware there is a chance that they may not find what they are needing.
I love Ream's grocery. I live close, therefore I visit frequently. The store is clean, well organized, and always have low prices in addition to regular sales. The staff is always friendly, courteous, hard-working & some have become like adopted family. I appreciate the consideration many give me that give me reason to continue to be a loyal customer. Thank you
Great little place to shop. It's convenient and great for the neighborhood. I think the old tables for signing checks needs to go. As the checkers wont put bags where you can get them. Now the bakery is tops. Wish i had their recipe for the rolls.
Honestly was not too impressed. This particular store is definitely one of the more odd of all the Ream's. They are all kind of weird, but have some really interesting merchandise usually. When I walked in the door, I was met with a pungent and terrible smell. It was a mix between a bushel of rotten potatoes... and feet that haven't been washed in a month. I was after some specific stuff, so decided to try and brave the horrible smell, only to discover that there were NO carts available. Just as I gave up, a guy brought 2 in, so I decided to give it a go. The aisles were desperately narrow to where 2 people can barely pass. I did get good prices on a few things I needed, but I won't go back again. The only redeeming quality was the cashier. She was an absolute sweetheart and such a ray of sunshine. I believe her name was Janice. Wonderful lady.
I love shopping@the reams,great prices,excellent meat selection&always friendly employees! We especially like that cashier Tyne,who always leaves us with a smile&of course you can't leave without having a conversation with Betty about the latest gossip in the front of the store! We have been shopping there for over a decade & will continue to even with the looming opening of the winco down the street because of their friendliness,great prices & excellent customer service!
They had 20% off everything. Store closing. Even Beer is 20% off!
The Reams that's off of State Street and before 2700 South if you're going northbound it's on the east side of the street is very very bad. They have terrible customer service and are very very rude. Last night I asked a cashier that didn't have her light on if she was open and her response was... You see me standing here don't you. The guy that works in the produce department was terrible and rude. I asked them if you can show me where the mango candy was and his response was... That's not my department go ask someone else. If you go in there you will see that all their workers are Caucasian and very racial. The most racist store I've ever been to. Shoppers beware when coming here
