Directors Riitta O'Connor and Bryan Steele have over 50 years, combined experience in the New England dance scene. Riitta got her BFA from The Boston Conservatory of Dance, and has taught for, and run several dance programs in and around New England. She is a much sought after Master Teacher and Judge. In 2013 Riitta and Bryan opened Revolution Dance Academy. Bryan has performed with some of New England's premier Dance Companies and has starred in hundreds of industrials and commercials. He has also taught for programs such as Boston Ballet, Walnut Hill School and Master Classes around the world.
Being disappointed in many of their convention experiences, Riitta and Bryan have started Rebel Dance Alliance. They have created a convention based on one single focus ...THE DANCERS! They want each and every dancer to walk away from their convention feeling inspired, energized, challenged, and most importantly, noticed and supported. Riitta and Bryan feel each and every dancer has something special they bring to the dance world and we want them to be recognized for it. We have chosen a Master Faculty that shares our beliefs and our vision for the dancers.

Our mission is to provide a unique convention experience like no other, we are rebelling against everything you though a convention series was!
We will have one ballroom that is fully hardwood floored and each Tap class will rotate into the room. That way everyone has a great surface to tap on, and not fight for a spot on a small square of parquet. They will also not need to avoid that little edge, while dancing in other classes. Each class will have a different "Focus" that the Master Teachers will be looking for in their dancers. They will choose up to 10% of each class that represents that "Focus". The students recognized will receive a scholarship for the next convention. The more classes a dancer is recognized in, the higher the scholarship amount, See Scholarship Info Tab for more detailed information. Every dancer has the chance to leave with a scholarship. The entire Master Faculty is of one philosophy ... it is about THE DANCERS who are in their classes. They want to inspire, challenge and motivate each one to become the best dancer, performer and person they can be. We all share the same passion ... DANCE. We promise to make each weekend memorable.
