Red Door Boutique

Thank you so much for helping me find pretty new additions to my wardrobe. You find items I may have overlooked, or wouldn’t think are “me.” You are ALL just fabulous! Always a pleasure to spend time at the boutique with you. Thanks for the shopping joy that’s always my experience at Red Door. And special thanks to Emma and Corey, for your time and personal recommendations yesterday.

Be careful of the return policy. Never a cash refund and only 14- days to exchange for store credit. While I appreciate the challenges of retailers, this policy is far more stringent than almost any other retailer I’ve found. As a matter fact in today’s environment , many retailers have become more lenient with their policies, vs less. For reference, I spent a substantial amount of money the last time I was there, purchasing dresses for weddings, and some seasonal work clothing. I’ve also often recommended Red Door to friends as almost a hidden gem and worth the trip. However, when I tried to return/exchange an unworn dress that I had bought amongst others for weddings, I was informed of their long-standing 14 day policy. I would never have expected a cash refund, because I was trying to return this 6-weeks later. Yes, a longer than usual time for me, but my time in recent weeks has been consumed by working full-time, traveling for work, traveling for weddings, and having an elderly parent requiring extra care after/during an extended hospitalization. I understand “buyer beware” and of course it’s my own fault but I didn’t read the fine print on a receipt. I’m not sure how many women out there to read the receipt every time they purchase clothing? If you have such a stringent policy, I would highly advise that your staff highlight that to anyone as they’re checking out. That was certainly not highlighted to me. Not allowing use for store credit while still very much in the same season is a poor customer service policy and unlike most other retailers. I understand limitations of small businesses and have tried to support them whenever possible. I’m simply asking small business to understand the environment that we are in, often with limited time to make an extra trip for returns. The red door also has a very small space that is not private at all for trying on clothing and it’s often more comfortable to try on at home. That said, we should support business owners who value their customers time, as well as their own business objectives.

I’ve been going to Red Door for years and love that I can always find the perfect outfit for any event. More recently I had the most memorable experience with my daughter picking out a prom dress. The prom consultants go the extra mile to make the experience special. My daughter found the most amazing dress and we cannot wait to go back next year. Thank you!

Hidden Gem Here’s the deal, fantastic prom, trendy and what the kids want, I guarantee you I will not look like a “fashion week leftover” in the little black dress I purchased at a great price for a wedding. Ladies, several great purchases in one day and my Senior’s PROM dress…FIRE! Something for every occasion!

Lovely shoppe! Staffed by friendly attendants who make you feel welcome and special. Their dressing area is pleasantly secluded. Emma enthusiastically helped my daughter find a dress and she was just plain awesome. Thank you!

Love all the different things you can get at this shop. They have lots of women's clothes but then also lots of little gifts, jewelry, bags, scarves, etc. Very helpful when trying on clothes too. Will have to keep this boutique in mind next time I need a unique gift!

I found this little gem at the Durham Fair last year. I have loved everything I have purchased since then. Hats, kimonos, oh the sweaters I got last year and some amazing dresses. I just ordered some more tops. The delivery time is great. I tell all my friends about the store. It is a great boutique.

Love this boutique!!! They have beautiful clothes, jewelry, accessories and more. When you buy from this shop you can be sure no one else has the same thing. They have items you won't find in Macy's or any other store. The clothes are made very well. They have a variety of sizes. Something for everyone. They're also helpful when your shopping and can put something together for you. This is a must see boutique!!! You won't want to shop anywhere else. Oh and they have some gorgeous prom dresses!!!

Beautifully displayed and unique merchandise. Like shopping where the sales lady is there when you need her, but otherwise you are not pressured. Would highly recommend

Love the Red Door Boutique! Everyone that works there are so nice and accommodating. I always get compliments on things that I buy at the Red Door. I live in Niantic but it's always worth the trip!
