We were in town for a wedding and stayed 4 days at this campground. We had a wonderful stay and we really enjoyed our spot site 7. We had a lot of greenery around us which was great for our 2 dogs. The campground is very well maintained. We will definitely be back!
We called to make a reservation and they were full, but put us in overflow. Despite being in overflow, the owners were kind enough to bring us over a fire pit. In addition, we were running late and called and the owners delayed their plans at a restaurant by a half hour to wait for us without complaint. Bath houses could use a little updating, but overall a great experience. Great dog park and cute pond for fishing! 10/10 will stay again!
We loved this campground and will return. Everything was neat as a pin and well kept. The grounds are woodsy and decorated nicely with flowers and planters. It doesn’t feel like a parking lot, like some campgrounds can be. Wi-Fi was stronger than many others we have visited. Restrooms are clean and well kept, very cute pond and little beach, dog friendly, nice place to take a walk. Yes, the speed limit is enforced but it seems perfectly logical and reasonable. No one hassled us at all about anything and owner was very kind. Everyone was friendly and the campground is peaceful and quiet and night. We were in our RV but the tent sites seemed nice as well. I have nothing bad to report at all and thought Red Gates was as cute and well maintained as could be! Thank you!
The owner was very helpful and sweet! We had a wonderful experience, and our campsite location was beautiful! He squeezed us in last minute and stayed outside to show us where everything was located as well as told us about fun things to see in the area!!!Rooms: 5/5
My name is Adam. I am full time resident here at Red Gates which means April 1st to November 1st. Bob and Diane have been wonderful. They have been very supportive during my first year of camper life. I honestly can’t thank them enough. Managing a park is not easy. They take care of the grounds and manage people regularly coming in and out. Many thanks to them for making this place be my home.
Sweet little campground in a great location to enjoy Hendersonville and the surrounding area! BUT, I had reservations for a “tent site” to hold me over for a couple of days until my reserved full hook-ups site became available. The host was informed of my trailer length and said nothing about not being able to accommodate me on a tent site. Instead, I was placed on what the host referred to as “overflow” only to charge for a full hook-ups site. This was far from a regular full hook-up site at $53/night, as there were none of the hook-ups available — no water, no sewer and I had to run my power cable across a gravel trafficked road to have access to power. I was able to get the host to reduce the cost to a regular tent site of $33/night which was also ridiculous considering their rent sites at least have both water & electric.
We stayed here for the weekend it's a small campground. It's very quaint even has a fully stocked pond, Beach area, picnic area. Seems like most of the campers are there for longer term stays. It is a quiet campground so you will not have any noise after 9/10pm. It is very close to a lot of orchards and a vineyard. Campground was very clean except for the bathrooms... They could use a good scrubbing but nothing out of the ordinary for a public restroom. Very nice host. The actual campsite was great except the hornets that wouldn't stop bugging our site probably from all the orchards nearby... Restrooms: Not bad could use an update or a good scrubbing Dog-friendliness: Small dog park run area
A small private RV park with lots of space in between each unit, shade, well maintained and very attentive on site staffService: 5/5
Nice small park. Stayed here for 5 days and enjoyed it. Very quiet, clean heated bath house, and right across the street from a Winery. Will definitely stay here again if in the area.
Such a great little campground! We only stayed one night but we really love this place. Can't wait to come back. The bathrooms/showers are clean! Big plus! And the owners are wonderful people.
