This was an average stay at an average hotel. Breakfast was hot and pretty good. Sausage, bacon, hash browns...quality of ingredients were below average. Breakfast service was excellent. Front desk service was okay, how do wait a few minutes for someone to come out. the location was okay; not anything special regarding the room. The hotel has probably seen better days. Thought it was a little overpriced compared to some of the others in the area.
The hotel was clean, plenty of parking, and had good amenities. The staff were friendly and helpful. Offered discount for my wife because she was a veteran. We planned to stay two nights, but left early 6pm, but they only charged for one night! I didn't expect that and was happily surprised. All in all it was a great hotel.
This hotel has definitely seen better days. The bed and linens were nice. Otherwise, the place is desperately in need of a remodel. The carpets and walls were soiled and splashed with random filth. There was a slash in the wallpaper alongside the mirror, the bathtub was rusty, and the room had an odor. The air conditioning kept me awake all night. The pool was murky. I liked the old-style carved room directions and the staff was friendly.
It was a nice older Hotel with balconies on the room that didn't have a no smoking sign. The rooms were attacked dirty pubic hairs in the shower. The breakfast buffet was okay but nothing to write home about. But it definitely was the nicest hotel in direct area.Rooms: 4/5
First you should know that the price i paid was over double the average price due to a concert at the gorge. I try to not let the $256 price paid affect my review, because the price was probably due to.scarcity. That didnt even include breakfast That being said we got there at midnight and nobody was at the front desk. We had to wait 25 minutes until a maintenance guy happened to walk by and find the woman. Turns out she was on a smoke break. The rooms were clean, but had a 70s vibe. Mattresses seemed old popcorn ceiling and ancient furnishings. Hotel looked dingy and looked to be falling appart. The thermostat in the room had a timer on the wall. It was fine because I had no other options, and maybe the best of what was available but definitely not à place I would ever choose to be. Rooms: Outdated
This is a nice hotel but the rooms are a bit dated. The carpet in my room was definitely old. Not a deal breaker but not 5 stars IMO. Friendly service and convenient to food, groceries and barsRooms: 4/5
Breakfast: Cost was $7US, well worth it, standard buffet type breakfast.... eggs, meat, bread, waffle, cereal etc. Pool: Good size pool, decent lounge furniture, both pool and hot tub has a crane system to help old/injured people into the pool Room: great size of rooms typical 80'e architecture Area: Lots of shopping and restaurant only a block or two away, there is a river walk park only a block away Carpet throughout the building was quite dated... although this building is HUGE! so I understand this issue.
This place needs a makeover. The room we stayed in was clean and had an old smell to it. The staff was awesome, and the manager, Bobbie, is the best. Just for that, I will go back! Oh, and the breakfast was really good. It was a full breakfast bar al a cart. Bacon, eggs, waffles, hashbrown, etc....
I grew up in Eastern Washington, and from what I remember the red lion hotels were all amazing places. That was NOT the case when I went with my family to revisit my old home town. When we first arrived, and walked inside, we were hit with an overwhelming musty smell. The front desk clerk was extremely rude and wouldn't even look at us when he spoke. There wasn't even a "enjoy your stay" or "welcome in you guys". When we opened the door to our room, it smelled like an ashtray. There were stains on the bed, spills all over the floor and my toddler started to cough. We turned around and told the front desk clerk that we couldn't handle the smell or condition and he could of cared less as he handed us new keys and said "they all smell the same". We went to our new assigned room and this one smelled a bit better, but again had stains on the bed, sticky floors, odd smell, mildew, hair in the sink& in the hair dryer, and also vomit in the toilet. By this time it was 8 pm and they had no other rooms. We were stuck with this one and had to make due. We ended up driving to Walmart to buy sheets& blankets because of how gross the bedding was. There was one sign that stated they were "under construction, and to pardon their dust" but last time I checked, dirty rooms with stains and vomit is not construction. As well as the rudeness from the front desk guy who could careless about anyone else in the world. We didn't even try the pool that my son was so excited about because of how poor the condition of everything was, I didn't want to risk it. I will forever speak about my terrible experience here, and I hope that this review reaches many people so they can stay away!!!!!!
Booked this hotel with the intention of staying. Plans changed. Checked cancelation policy and we were well within the time frame for a 100% refund. Canceled the hotel and 3 weeks later they still charged me the full amount. Called and asked them and they said I wasn't with in the time frame. I looked back at my emails and I was well within. They said they will refund anyway. I just got a refund but it wasn't even the full amount!! Shorted me over $10. For someone that travels a lot I will be avoiding Red lion hotels from now on and sharing my experiences with everyone. Thanks theifs.
