It is our mission to provide a place for professionally minded ceramic artists to create new work.
First and foremost we are a Residency Program. Long-Term Residents participate in a work exchange where 20 hours per week for the center garners a private studio space, a modest stipend and housing. Short-Term Residents stay two weeks to three months developing specialized research. Education is at the heart of our mission, to that end we offer many community classes that are financially accessible, as well as two free demonstration workshops per year. Our gallery on Broadway in Red Lodge, MT is the face of the operation. It is filled with work from nationally recognized ceramic artists, all who support our mission of "art in everyday life". All proceeds from gallery sales go directly back into our programming. When you shop at Red Lodge Clay Center you not only increase your collection, but also support an ideal. Please ask about our layaway plan, we want to make acquisitions possible for all layers of the economic strata.
