Redinger Spay/Neuter Clinic

About

The Redinger Spay/Neuter Clinic was created in 2012 by Halifax Humane Society to combat the local pet overpopulation problem. It has the capacity to provide 11,000 subsidized spay/neuter surgeries annually, and is open to the public.

Description

The Redinger Spay/Neuter Clinic is a unique endeavor that creates the ability to perform nearly three times the number of surgeries of a standard clinic. It has the capacity to provide up to 11,000 subsidized spay/neuter surgeries for the public each year, in addition to the 4,000 already performed at the Halifax Humane Society animal shelter. Halifax Humane Society uses donations to help subsidize its costs for the surgeries.

The surgical standards at the clinic are derived from Humane Alliance, an organization that has been at the forefront of the nationwide movement to implement the best defense against euthanasia, prevention by sterilization. So far, over 100 new spay/neuter clinics have opened under its mentor program.

The Redinger Spay/Neuter Clinic is the latest component of the Halifax Humane Society’s continued initiative to reduce and eventually eliminate the pet overpopulation problem in Volusia County. Spay/neuter surgeries have proven to have the largest direct impact on reducing the number of animals going into shelters.

Halifax Humane Society exists as an open door shelter, the last remaining open-admission facility in Volusia County, refusing care to no animal in need. However, caring for over 15,000 animals annually is a financial drain for its donors, as well as an emotional drain for the people who care about the animals it serves. In order to fulfill its mission to protect all animals in its care, Halifax Humane Society is placing a high priority on reducing intake. The opening of the high volume spay/neuter clinic is a large step toward meeting its goals in that regard.

Have used their services several times and have always had a great experience! Their website is very buggy but the folks are patient about making appointments over the phone and always helpful once you get on site. You can tell they all genuinely care about the animals and they treat the people well too!
The society offers a variety of programs and services to help animals, including adoption services, spay and neuter programs, and community education initiatives. It also provides medical care for animals in need, including vaccinations, surgery, and other treatments. The staff and volunteers at the Halifax Humane Society are passionate about their work and are committed to improving the lives of animals in their community. The organization depends on the support of donors, volunteers, and community members to carry out its mission and provide a safe and loving environment for the animals in its care.
They were so helpful and accommodating, I was able to get an appointment right away, Ben and Bobbie have been so great at the clinic. So far I have spayed 3 cats at their clinic. I will also be spaying 3 more cats there!
They messed up our cats spay & keep telling us she isn’t in heat when CLEARLY she is. Will NEVER go back or recommend. Have also found others with bad experience as well.
Amazing care. All of our animals have been spayed or neutered here
Super friendly helpful staff. they really care about the animals . excellent prices. Would definitely recommend to a friend and I'm going to definitely go back to take our puppy there.
Paid to get my puppy fixed last year now she is in heat. Called and left voice-mail for someone to call me back and no one has. I was ripped off, paid for a surgery that wasn't done!
Got both my cats neutered. Everything went well. Neither had any discomfort. Thank you for taking care of my boys.
The low cost spay/neuter clinic is great. My vet wanted $600 to spay my puppy!! This place it was $25!
You never wanna go to a place like this but if you have to this is a great place ! They treated my Bella like family. Highly recommend!! Great staff , great communication and honest !
