Warning Buyer Beware : Warning Do Not Use : Warning Buyer Beware : Warning Do Not Use Warning to the General Public: Stay far away from this establishment! It is nothing more than a deceitful and manipulative operation that will leave you feeling scammed and taken advantage of. They lure you in with a month-to-month lease, but don't be fooled - they reserve the right to cancel, change, or jack up the price whenever they please. And trust me, they will. I made the mistake of renting a space for my trailer at $275 per month, only to have them pull the rug out from under me just three months later. They gave me a measly month to pack up my belongings, return from overseas, find a vehicle for towing, and locate a new spot in the middle of summer. It was an impossible task, to say the least. Eventually, I found another spot at an Extra Space in Redondo Beach, a whopping 20 miles away. But just when I thought I could finally relax, they pulled the same stunt again. They started my rent at $145 and then had the audacity to hike it up by a mind-boggling 56% to over $221 per month with only a month's notice! I have rented storage spaces for years where the price remained locked in upon signing, with no changes for years on end. But Extra Space is not like those reputable places. It is only suitable if you need a temporary solution for a month or two at most. If you plan on storing your belongings for any longer, be prepared to constantly relocate, pay exorbitant fees, or desperately search for another facility. Extra Space is nothing short of extortion and a despicable way to conduct business. Update: 8/29/23 I have finally escaped the clutches of Extra Space and closed my account. I will never, under any circumstances, do business with them again. Interestingly, they commented on my review below and even applied a $40 credit to my account when I was moving out. It's clear they were trying to save face, but their actions were too little, too late. The staff at the Redondo Beach facility showed no concern or gratitude for my business. Hi had to rent a vehicle and drive from the SF Bay area and drive there and back to pick my stuff up, costing me $600 which was well worth it not giving these guys another penny of my hard earned money. I cannot stress this enough: Buyer Beware! Do not store your valuable items or engage in any business with this Extra Space storage facility, or any others for that matter. Unfortunately, Extra Space continues to live up to the shady reputation that plagues the moving and storage industry. Just remember the only “EXTRA” you will get from this space is extra charges! Incredible Customer Service. Salvador was extremely helpful and informative. The area is very secure and very clean. Hours are 7am to 6pm.
Aireen was very friendly and helpful. She showed me available units that would fit my needs. My overall customer experience was 5 stars!
I Went inside to switch to a bigger unit. Staff was so helpful, he knew exactly what he was talking about as far as pricing and unit sizes. Definitely recommend this facility. Its always clean and secure.
Nailah the assistant store manager is the most helpful person I have dealt with all week during a stressful moving week. She made the whole process extremely easy.
Friendly staff. Salvador was very professional, and he made renting a unit quick and easy.
Terrible company. Cut off 16 hours from the access hours with no compensation for us customers. Raises the prices after your there 2-3 months another 20% your starting rate. No security whatsoever. Good employees who work there but whoever is in charge needs to go.
Salvador did a great job signing me up, he showed me the various options, he was able to give me a discount, overall experience was positive.
Nailah was super amazing. Great customer service and I couldn’t have had a better experience. Very knowledgable and was able to inform us of every option. All the units are quite big and I found just the right size for all my possessions. Thankyou! See you next time!
I had the most pleasant experience working with Joseph. This was the easiest business transaction. It was so refreshing to have everything go so smoothly and as advertised! So thankful to have found Extra Space Storage in Redondo Beach, CA!!!
