Check in was fast. Plenty of room to back into your door but be careful of cross traffic exciting the parking lot as you back. Plenty of room to stage trucks along the curb before you're assigned a door. Overall great unload time and customer service.
2nd attempt to get food and there is nobody here -- and yes I checked the details. I waited then called to find out they didn't bother to update Thier info -- good job, at least you're getting paid...
I'm more than Greatful for any free food I can get. That being said I arrange to pick up for my self and two, sometimes 3 other families seeing as where we live is very rural and a trip to town is quite aways. So my neighbors and I all try to help out anytime one of goes to town for anything. Everytime I go through the dive thru distribution I make it very clear to all of the volunteers that I'm picking up for 3 families and every time I get home I'm lucky if I get two families rations. Which makes it hard to divide it up for thee families. Especially seeing as the food banks aren't giving out as much as the pandemic is dying down. So basically I end up with less of the food that I really do need. Also my car has an motorized tailgate. I always make sure to tell them that I will close it myself. But they are so busy that nobody pays attention and somebody usually forces it closed. The first time this happened they caused almost 2,000$ with of damage to my new car. Thank God it was under warranty. But now this happened several times since then, even with me telling them repeatedly each time. Unfortunately the car is no longer under warranty and the dealer's discounted estamate was 800$ out of my pocket making me even more in need of assistance. I appricate and I'm so grateful that the are down there trying to make a difference and help people that really need it. Their intentions are truly golden but a little focus would really make a bigger difference Either way God bless them for their efforts!
I volunteer on my own and through my company. They are so organized and efficient. They are sort of the main hub for many area food banks and have kept food on many families tables throughout the pandemic.
Tomie with Diaper Delivery services is a phenomenal employee. He delivered diapers today to a low income property I serve and has exemplary customer service skills. Very friendly, helpful and professional. He should get a raise and definitely deserves praise. Thanks Tomie and thank you REFB for the exceptional employees that you hire, as we have been super impressed with all the delivery driver staff. Also, Amy who coordinates diaper deliveries is always super responsive, grateful for her support.
Thank u for the food i just think its not fair for the rest of the people waiting a long time when people leave with carts full of food and they leave early i think its just cause the people giving the food away know them so they let them take all the good stuff its not fair it there anything u guy can do so its fair for everyone
The employees are amazingly helpful and kind. If you are homeless, try another place. It caters to a selective crowd.
I volunteered at Redwood Empire Food Bank a week before Thanksgiving, post Sonoma/Napa County fires. They serve 82,000 people, 5 coastal counties. Damn! Depending on group, we packed boxes, bagged carrots, squash, and potatoes. I think it's safe to say, I never want to see another carrot again. For reference, that box of carrots was about 5 feet high, by 4 feet across
Such a fun and good place to volunteer. It feels great, and everyone who works there is very kind and accommodating. Charlie and the Chocolate Factory levels of worker enthusiasm!
Great place visited as a volunteer happy to help and all people were amazing.
