Wilma and Bill Penland started Reems Creek Nursery in their front yard in the Beech Community of the Reems Creek Valley where Wilma's family has lived for generations. A few years later, they purchased our current location and more recently expanded onto the adjoining property where our Garden Shop is located at 76 Monticello Road.
Bill and Wilma are semi-retired, but still take an active part in the business - both at the Garden Center and on our propagation farm in the Beech Community. Their daughter, Susan Penland Reavis, is currently managing the business.
