A favourite Ontario local farm market experience! Reesor’s Farm Market is inside the Rouge National Urban Park boundary. A wonderful kind of day, taking a walk on the Rouge National Urban Park trails, then stopping by the Reesor’s Farm Market for fresh local Ontario produce, meat pies and baked goods. All we need for a perfect spring, summer, and fall harvest day! Sweet corn you can husk on sight. Delicious chocolate chip cookies, date squares, brownies, meat pies, cheese chuds, honey and preserves. Fresh cut flowers to complete your day. Always welcomed with very friendly staff.
I’d love to give it 5 stars but Reesor’s strawberries was way smaller compare to other farm I go as you can easily tell from the picture This year ticket was 15$ included one basket which is quite convenience compare to other places where you need to bring your own basket They have water area that you can clean the strawberry if you want to eat it right away Strawberry was sweet but again, tiny even when we go on July, not even end season and a lot of them were damage or musty. Should open more section for people to go
We can also access it after picking up the strawberries from “REESOR Pick Your Own Strawberries.” They had vegetables and fruits and Maple related items. Thank you:
We visited farm today and I amazed! Not only beautiful pumpkin patch but also their farmer market. My 15 months daughter first time ate by herself few strawberries and handful raspberries. I am saying ‘first time’ because previously she always spitted any berries out. Berries are so yummy, no bitter, just sweet berries taste. I grew up in a countryside where we gathered wild berries and grew some on our yard, and I know the berries taste, but couldn’t find any like this on grocery shelves or other farmer markets I visited. We bought cucumbers and I have just made a salad for my son - he is telling me this is the most delicious cucumber salad he has ever eaten and I am sure because cucumbers are so fresh so they smell like you just cut them. Also we bought baked apple pie rolls and muffins and these like homemade bakery - no acid taste and not extra flavoured or sweetened. 5 stars!
Sunflower maze was really difficult to get out very well made!!! They ask for the entrance fee and whatever you pick there that’s an extra charge. I only saw pumpkin picking which i didn’t find it fun so i will try other pickings next time. They are open pretty late compared to other farms!!
Clean, well laid out premises... Good extended parking areas... Oct 3, 2022 lots of choice of pumpkins big & small. The maze want opening today so we'll have to return on the open days
Nice area during the fall for pumpkin season. Lots of nice photography spots on both the pumpkin patch and corn maze. Tickets can be prepaid online, for admission does not include a pumpkin. The market has a nice selection of items to purchase fitting of the season currently in place.
Fun corn maze, had a sunflower and pumpkin patch for nice picture taking experience. The price of admission is now $7-8 per person but at the end we each received a sunflower to take home, which is nice. The marketplace is small but there are some nice items to purchase like fresh corn, bakery goods and my favourite apple butter for a good cracker and bread spread.
It was our first time to visit their farm market. We came here to join the pick our own strawberries. Our experience was great! Their staff were really friendly & helpful. After picking our own baskets of strawberries, we stopped by the farm market to get some freshly baked goods. By the time we arrived the market at 3:30pm, there were not too many items left. Luckily, we could still get a pack of their homemade chocolate chips cookies and raisins bran muffins. If you want to buy their daily fresh baked goodies, they suggested we go before noon time. Will definitely go back to try their homemade fruit pie next time!
We've been going there for the last 5 yrs. I understand the price increase each year, but what I don't appreciate is the quality of the farm is decreasing dramatically. A few years ago, the pumpkin patch is full of beautiful pumpkins on the vine and nice gourds as well. And then there were no gourds, well I guess the owner dont want people to put them in their wheelbarrows. The PYO pumpkins are charged by the wheelbarrow Then last year, most of the pumpkins are off the vine, but we still managed to find some nice ones. But this year, it's just beyond unbelievable! The feild is just empty with a few rotten pumpkins thrown on it. You can't find any nice pumpkins on the vine, all the pumpkins are either half green, or rotten from the top. And the pumpkin patch is full of half rotten pumpkins and seeds. Some of them even start to smell and have flies flying over them. The whole point of going to a pumpkin patch and PYO pumpkins is so the kids can have a fun experience, what fun is to pick up rotten previously picked pumpkins off the ground. The owner picked all the nice pumpkins for individual sales. If we want to buy picked pumpkins we wouldn't drive half an hour from Aurora to go for pumpkin picking. If you are going to charge people to go into the pumpkin patch and charge more for the PYO pumpkins, then at least save some nice ones for PYO. So not worth the experience, let alone money wise. We will not be going back. Hate to see my sons be disappointed by the pumpkin patch again. P.s if you want a refund after walk in the pumpkin patch and realize there's no pumpkins to pick, they DONT do refund on the spot. You have to email the owner to discuss the details. Like, really?!! Edit after owners reply: I appreciate the owner Jay's honest and sincere reply. I did my fair share of reviews on Google, the good reviews always gets a thank you. However the bad ones, I either get an automatic reply, or a very passive aggressive comment. But Jay took the time and clarified the misunderstanding, and took ownership of their staffs mistake. I respect that. I changed my review from 1 star to 4 stars, as I do respect owners like Jay and we did enjoy our time at ressors farm for the past few years. I kindly decline the owner Jay's offer on the refund and free pie, as we did end up filling out wheelbarrow with pumpkins, and my kids did enjoy the corn maze. So I guess depends on the weather next year, if the farm has a good harvest of pumpkins, we might be giving ressors farm another try!
