“The salon business has changed dramatically over the past 30 years,” said Rose Marino, owner of Reflections Salon and Medispa. “It’s not enough to offer traditional haircuts and nail care for women. Today’s successful spa has to cater to both men and women and has to offer a full menu of services, from microdermabrasion, chemical peels and photo facial treatment to laser vein removal, sclerotherapy, waxing and massages. And that’s what we provide- a complete salon and space experience for both men and women.”
Marino added, “Since we opened in 1978, our customers have come to expect more from us than just a great haircut or perm. Along with offering all of our services, we’re also committed to treating people as our guests-not just our customers. That’s why most of our customers have been with us for years. Once people experience the quality of our services combined with friendly casual atmosphere at Reflections, they tend to come back over and over again.” Another reason customers return is the consistency of the service they receive. Marino explained, “I’m proud of the fact that two of my stylists have been here the entire 30 years we’ve been open and four stylists have been here more than 20 years. When we find good stylists, we like to keep them around.”
Reflections Salon and Medispa has a staff of 11 stylists, two aestheticians, nail tech and massage therapist along with a full line of quality hair and skin products for men and women. All of the treatments are under the supervision of Dr. Shalini Gupta and administered by Nancy Kronner, RN. Marino said, “The skin and laser services we offer can be very effective in reversing the effects of aging, but it’s critical that these treatments be handled by highly skilled individuals. That’s why we’re fortunate to have these two dedicated professionals working at Reflections.”
