I’ve tried many dental offices over the years and this is by far the best office I’ve been to! They are all so nice! I also have never had to wait in the waiting room for more than 10 minutes for an appointment. I always felt like the other offices were telling me I needed work done that wasn’t necessary just so they could make some money off of my insurance but here they are very honest and up front with me! When I chose my new insurance plan this was a major stipulation- they had to be in my new network!
I am writing this review while sitting outside the clinic. I went in for a simple teeth cleaning. I had to wait for 50 minutes. I ended up leaving. People who came after me got called before me. I saw hygienist/helper look at my chart 4/5 times same person twice and than couplr of other people and yet they just looked around and put my chart down again. I just asked them to cancel my appointment after 50 minutes wait. I choose this location because it was close to my house. Would rather drive 20 minutes than recommending this place to anyone. Avoid if you can. I understand delays, but almost an hour? And no one had courtesy to update me that they are running late EDIT: I am not asking you to disclose any medical information. Just a common courtesy of not making your patients wait for 40 minutes, just for simple check up. Or just update them if you are running behind schedule rather than completely ignoring them even when eye contact was made.
Wow, where to start. Terrible experience. I arrived at 8:50 and the dentist didn't come to my chair until 10:50! I spent over an hour just waiting, which really annoyed me because they told me to come 10 min early, when really they should have told me to come 60 min late. The office itself is dirty and poorly maintained. The chairs are worn with holes in them, there are unpatched holes on the drywall several places around the office, and spots where paint was ripped off. Just an ugly, sloppy office. They tried to take my X-Rays when I was there, and ran the x-ray machine on me 3x before giving up. The computer would crash each time. So I ended up being exposed to 3x the normal x-ray radiation and didn't even get an x-ray from it. The dentist himself spoke uncomfortably slowly, kind of like he had a neurological condition or was drunk he wasn't. His hands were shaky. He didn't review my chart before sitting with me an asked all the same questions all over again. To top it off, his cell phone rang loudly directly beside my ear while his hands were in my mouth. Wow, just so unprofessional. Thankfully I wasn't in pain at any point while they were working, that is the only way I can imagine this visit being worse. Avoid this place if you can. I went here because insurance told me to, not on the recommendation of a friend. This was a mistake.
Terrible experience here. The cleaning was sub-par. Then they did an extra x-ray procedure that was not needed. At prior dentists, the x-ray would have been covered so as a new Customer at Refresh I did not realize my insurance would not cover it. I received a bill and immediately called Refresh, speaking to the new manager whom candidly informed me as of that week they were under new management. She proceeded to say they should not have done that x-ray and she will take care of the bill. Called two more times, being reassured the bill will be taken care of. Before I knew it, the bill was put into collections where I was forced to pay it or my credit would be affected. I will never recommend this place to anyone. The way this was handled put me in a position where I feel victim of fraud as the Customer.
This place is a total waste of my time. Very unprofessional. They said 3rd time is the charm but not so at this dental office. Had my 1st appointment last November but didn't show up because the dentist was sick understandable. I rescheduled for December and left work for my appointment, only to be told that the office was closed. I asked how I was not informed but repeatedly the receptionist said she left me a message. She went on until 2 other patients came in. They were told the same thing by the receptionist and they too said they got no message. I left never to return but decided to try again. Again, I left work for my 3rd appointment. Just to do general exam and clean, which I told them on the phone and wrote it on the form. Only to be told that I have to reschedule for the cleaning. This place is unprofessional and a waste of time. It's not even clean because the lobby chairs are dirty and the examination chairs are dusty. There was hair on the Xray machine...... And how could I forget the hygienist said I had gingivitis and they'll check to see what treatment I needed and if my insurance covers it. When the dentist examined me he said I had healthy gum and teeth. Only need basic cleaning. The hygienist couldn't accommodate my cleaning today but I bet if I had gingivitis or something major then she would have....smh....
Today I can say I give Refresh Dental 5 Stars. The Staff was very friendly and polite. The Dr. was also very friendly. I have to go back to have a Root Canal and I truly hope it will be pleasant also. This will be my second time having dental work done at this office. This is coming from an Extremely Nervous Patient.
Very good but need to be mindful of the patients time. They say you speed 45 min..... That's a lie. My appointment was at 9:30 am I didn't get called back till 10:45am and im still sitting in chair waiting and it's 11:34 am. They haven't even begin to do what I came for which was to get a wisdom tooth pulled. I know after this visit I won't came here again.
As this was my first time visiting Refresh Dental I had to arrive a little early to fill out the paperwork, considering that I've got there a little after they open the waiting room was not crowded and I had three people ahead of me, by the time I filled out my paperwork I was the next person to be called. The staff was courteous and professional and I was called 3 minutes after turning in my paperwork to see the dentist. After my examination and it was time to pay my copay, to which my insurance plan is supposed to pay everything including copay I was surprised to learn that my insurance plan covered everything but my copay when I called my insurance about the situation they inform me that the $ 80 that I was being charged wasn't the copay it was for the X-ray that was performed. Needless to say i would have to pay. I didn't have it so the dentist negated the $ 80 . Needless to say this shocked me, signed a patient for life, blessed and highly favored. William Cawthon ... PS if your looking for a dentist I highly recommend Refresh Dental !!!
Quick run down of why this dentist IS NOT getting 5 stars. Original appt at 5:50 pm. I get called and was asked to come in for 5 pm due to the male dentist had to leave early. Weather gets bad, I call in at 3:45 pm and tell them I'm on my way. I get there at 4 pm. Called back by 4:10 pm. Dental assistant has me cleaned and ready for final review by 5 pm. I sit and wait 50 minutes while the dentist is seen "playing" with the receptionists off and on until my wife complains about my wait time. Very disappointed with the urgency of my appointment. My time is just as valuable as the dentist! I deserve better treatment and respect. 1 star required in order to post...
This was my first appointment at Refresh Dental and even though I waited about 45 minutes, the office made sure to check my insurance specifics to see that I would not be charged out off pocket from a previous dentist's work already done. Thank you for taking the time to care about my unique situation!
