Pretty cool small Mall that stuck it through the hard times, looks like it may be having a comeback. I sure hope so. Doesn't look like they're saying the movie theaters going to reopen though
Very friendly staff at both the ticket counter and the concessions stand. We were the only group in the theater on a Monday night.
Always a treat! Matinee movie this trip.. Fresh popcorn and ice cold Coke! Wish they could get more going on inside the Mall!
Nice, clean theater. However, I had to leave in the middle of the movie because the air was stagnant and hot! Minimal air conditioning and my toddler was dripping sweat. He kept begging to go home because he was hot. The snacks were EXTREMELY expensive. A pretzel, small popcorn, a junior cup of faucet water and m&ms cost $22!!!!!! The cup of faucet water was $4.79!!!!! I literally paid almost 5 dollars for water from a faucet for my kid to drink because he's too young for soda. I know movies are expensive, but I didn't think I'd spend $30 for 1 adult and a free 2 year old to see a matinee with no air conditioning. Unfortunately, despite the cleanliness and the small crowds which I love, I won't be returning here. Florida is too hot to sit anywhere inside without AC; unless it's free.
Very nice theater and staff. Only problems we have had are some customers dousing themselves in perfume so bad that it triggers my wife's migraines. Also, would be nice if folks who want to use their phones during the movie would stay home. Sucks for wife and me to shell out 30 bucks and have to watch some socially challenged ignoramus play with their phone.
They have very disrespectful employees. They not only insulted my party they age shamed my friend. When confronted they didn’t blink an eye. Horrible service. We go there all the time and now because our group had younger members in it the guy at the front desk decided to age shame the older of us, to make him feel embarrassed about seeing a movie with younger people. Disgusting attitude we won’t be going back till serious changes are made in employee training
The Regal in Crystal River is clean and well run, but the seating is very comfortable. If I had to venture a guess they are probably over 20 years old no ergonomics in their design. I had to keep shifting around in my seat trying to get comfortable. Very uncomfortable especially if it is a long movie.
Honestly more like 4.5 stars. The theater was clean and not crowded at all even with it being the opening weekend of the movie we saw. The 3D movie was alittle $pricey$ but that could also be because I haven't been to the movies in awhile. My only real complaint and the reason I would say 4.5 stars is you cant lift the armrests.
I like the theater itself, big screen, plenty of room. however, the lights on the floor are not very bright, the steps are in varied sizes making it easy for little ones to trip. The seats could be updated..not very comforting
I'm thankful we still have a theater available in Crystal River. I wish more people attended rather than going to other places. If the cost bothers you, think of the time and gas money you save by staying local. It's a small town theater with a small town feel, a little dated but staff is friendly and seats aren't bad at all.
