I need two call buttons. I am so ready to be discharged from this place. 9/11 Just venting here. Just ready to get well and go home. This is not a bad place. "They give me my meds sort of on time. I sit and wait a lot. The staff makes a noticeable effort to do well. Half the nurses seem lazy while the other half are over enthusiastic. I am currently in here having a wound on my foot attended to.“
Would give them 0. My dad was sent there 2 1/2 years ago for 1 1/2 days. He was sent there for long term care for his breathing treatments because he had fluid in his lungs. Another hospital sent him there because he was in ICU. He was alert before he left. The next day at Regency when I got there he was dying and was gasping for air. Unconscious. Had to find someone to check on him. Nurse gave him a shot. Dr sent him for X-rays because his port was stopped up. Dr and nurses were not fast at all. We finally had to remove him from that hospital and sent him across the street to another hospital. Before we moved him the nurse gave him 7 shots and drew 2 files of blood. The other hospital tried to save his life but he passed. Dr there asked what they gave him. Had a nurse look at the photo below. Regency did not have the oxygen hooked up. The nurse and Dr overdosed him and killed him. Received medical records and they gave him epipen because he was allergic to something and did not come back to check on him. They also gave him narcan. If your loved one is in critical condition and needs to be in ICU please do not take them there.
My father received great care at Regency. During his hospitalization, he was approved at the Georgia War Veterans Nursing Home in Augusta, GA. His Discharge Planner, Brooke provided outstanding service and we would not have had the experience we did if it wasn’t for her.
I had a great experience at Regency. Everyone was so helpful in helping me to get better and I would highly recommend this hospital if you need it. The nurses and all the staff took good care of me. I couldn’t have asked for a better hospital. Anything that I asked, they provided. I would give 10 stars if I could. I would like to thank all the staff and everyone who helped me while I was here.
They helped me get rid of my infection. They took good care of me, kept me clean. IT was a check really good Hospital. One of the best i've ever been in. The food was good. I felt safe. The people treated me nice.
This place was a death sentence for my husband. He was in their facility for 4 days and they never gave him dialysis. On the fourth day they sent him to Piedmont Macon ER, where he was admitted to ICU and not expected to live through the night because he had fluid overload and was in septic shock. To this day no one from that facility has contacted me. And will not respond to my request for my husband's medical records. This place did NOT practice the standard of care for my husband who went there to be liberated from a ventilator.
I would give this place a - 0 for their services. My daddy was there and he almost died, No one would check on him, Trach was clogged up and also developed Sepsis.Dr was extremely rude and arrogant and would not help in no way, don’t care nothing about your family. Please do not let your love ones go here it is a Death Trap. My daddy had all types of infections and the Dr said he was sending him home on Hospice like he was a bad of trash. Case Manager Brooke is a great person and she just gets out in bad situations when it comes to the Dr there. I moved him to another hospital and he is possibly going to live. Please do not send your family here, they most certainly will die!!!
The worse experience I’ve had in my life. I was transferred to this place almost a year ago after contracting Covid, I was on a ventilator for 23 days at Houston County Medical Center. I’m not sure why I was transferred to Regency at that given time but I was. I wish I knew the legal steps to have the nursing license stripped from a nurse there. She was the meanest, most hateful person and I cannot believe she is allowed to be a nurse! Because of Regency Hospital, I have since that time, experienced PTSD. Do Not Leave Your Loved Ones At This Place!
The positive reviews here are a joke. There’s no way you have only that majority of 5 star reviews. The only way this place would have only positive 5 star reviews is someone working for the company posting reviews so they won’t look bad. This place is not suitable for critical ill patients even though they claim to be able to deal with them. My mother was admitted here in good spirits and in a decent condition despite being considered critical. Her first nurse stated that when she first arrived she was in good condition and yesterday after she got assigned her 3 weeks later she almost cried looking at her condition. My mothers room was directly next to the nursing station and barely checked on her. They never cleaned or bathe her properly. They had her under 4 to 5 sedation medicines and took 2 weeks to explain why. My cousin who’s a dialysis tech first day visiting her noticed she had an infection but this was the start of her 3rd week there and they just now found out she had an infection. Nurses couldn’t tell you any information because they don’t know anything. She had low blood pressure over a week. You can’t speak with the doctors to get information because they’re never there. The family had to fight and have conferences just to get information from them. They violated their own policy in by denying that a critical ill patient or ICU patient be transferred to a hospital better suited to deal with those patients all because the nurse manager or supervisor said she wasn’t going to lose her license because the family wanted her moved to a better facility that was suited for her care. Got a call this morning from the hospital saying that she’s being rushed to the ER because she’s basically dying. This is after a phone call I just had with the house manager or supervisor that same morning and said no she will not be transferred. I couldn’t get a referral from the doctor because they’re never around. Multiple people asked about my mother and once Regency’s name was said everyone that they’ve had bad experiences with them and she needs to be somewhere else. Myself and the family will be filing a complaint with the medical board against this hospital, her nurses, and her doctors. P.S. corporate you can keep that automated message about calling y’all because I said what I said about the medical board.
I was treated good ya know, the Dr, nurses, CNA, and when I was in pain I got what I needed on time. PT worked with me to help me with my mobility to get around and stuff. Dietary was good to me and would bring watermelon when I wanted it and they gave me double helpins of meat after the dietitian approved. They gave me a supplement to help with my protein for my wound. I enjoyed the juven 3xper day. They were all thinking what was best to help me.
