This place is entertaining to visit. From not realizing such a small strip mall had a theater in it to begin with, to not being able to find a soul working there when we walked in for a few minutes, getting no ice for my drink because they were out but offered to get me some, sitting in a theater with two other people in it, and a wisp of cob Webb dangling from the ceiling so you'd catch it's shadows on the screen occasionally. They just don't make um like this anymore, a classic cinematic experience.
The Twin is a great movie theater in Westlake Village. It has a neighborhood feel, and comes across non-corporate, despite being owned by a large company. The mostly indie movies are projected digitally, with both the picture and sound being high quality. You will see Oscar contenders here. The small concessions stand has interesting selections, like edamame, and has excellent popcorn with real butter. The theaters are clean, and they put the armrests up between every movie. The mostly young staff are friendly and efficient. On the other hand, the bathrooms are very small, but clean. Also, as of June 2015, they need to improve their online ticketing. Overall though, a very good place to see films.
The nicest people here! One doesn't usually feel welcomed at a theatre, this one goes all the way to make you feel happy and content. They treated me like a friend and not as a cash register.
At last, a real movie theatre! I loved it, just as I remembered! I bought a large popcorn and a large drink to help contribute $$ to the cause. Great popcorn btw and it was very LARGE. Organized, clean, very great. No other way to see a movie, go to a real theatre!
This is nice little theatre in a nice area. It's located in a cozy shopping center that houses my favorite Chinese restaurant, Lakeview Garden. It's a small theater with two screens and if you get tired of Marvel Comics movies this is where you come. Movies for grownups. I don't know what you call it these days. Used to be arthouse movies, I guess. All the films that may not get a big enough audience for the multiplex. They have the standard movie snacks & regular seats. The parking is easy & close by. And very convenient to have dinner at the Chinese restaurant before the movie. During the week & Sunday there's only one showing in the evening. On Sat. & Sun there's also a late show.
Love this theater, especially because it doesn't have assigned seats. Staff is friendly and courteous. It has a small town feel. They run more indie films.
Old and a little uncomfortable... Maybe the elderly patrons should be reminded to mute their phones or be asked to leave them in their cars so that there are not so many disruptions during the movie. They should also be reminded not to answer their phones and carry on conversations during the movie.
A lovely little theater. Very old school, but nice. The theater was clean and the popcorn was good. I love independent and foreign films, and this is a great place to see them.
This theater consistently has the best selection of movies around - they are friendly, clean and while it's not the"experience" of fancy seats, cocktails and food, it's the really movie experience with great sound. Nice to support the local theater that still cares about the quality of movies.
FANTASTIC!!! Love this comfy theatre and its adorable "small town" feel. It continues to show really interesting film fare. One of my all-time favorite theatres in the country.
