Regina Health Center is a Medicare/Medicaid certified nursing facility with 101-licensed nursing beds, a special dementia care unit, 54 assisted living units, respite care services, and short-term inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation.

Located in Richfield, Ohio, Regina Health Center and its 220 employees provide compassionate and holistic health care services in a unique setting for people seeking a faith-based environment. This includes lay people as well as members of several Northeast Ohio religious communities, clergy from the Dioceses of Cleveland and Youngstown, and other persons needing supportive services or residential nursing care. There are 13 religious orders represented from the Dioceses of Cleveland and Youngstown.

Regina Health Center is a ministry of the Sisters of Charity Health System, which includes five acute care Catholic hospitals, two skilled nursing and assisted living facilities, three grantmaking foundations, and six health and human services organizations in Ohio and South Carolina.

A dear friend of mine was recently admitted to Regina Health Center for skilled nursing and rehab. The care was outstanding from nursing, physical therapy, and occupational therapy. I was very impressed with the kindness, professionalism, cleanliness, and excellent coordination of care. She received her individualized plan of care, updates, medications, and was kept abreast of all appointments and happenings at the facility. All staff demonstrated such kindness and compassion. Thank you for caring for my dear friend.

I visited a friend and observed quality care. Because of this, I selected Regina for care and rehab from a bad fall and a broken foot, femur and shoulder, July, 2018. The rehab was first class; the nursing care was kind and caring.  That is seldom believed these days. I was at a different facility recently, and told my doctor how mean spirited I found the staff. "That's pretty usual," he remarked. "No, Regina is different!" I countered. He scrolled down his screen, and then said he had four other patients who told him how good they found the Regina staff. Everyone was so friendly, and above and beyond the basics, I took an informal survey. I found the average tenure of a basic aide was ten years. Ten years!  I cannot post a separate review for this second five star opinion, but it doesn't change their average. Regina is first class all the way.

I have nightmares about the care my family member received here. The DON is unprofessional, lacks compassion and does not advocate for residents. I encourage people who have family here to frequently pop in and check to see what’s REALLY going on at different days and times. If you’re searching for placement, I highly recommend you look elsewhere!

My Aunt is at Regina. Everyone there is very caring as if they were taking care of their own family members. The place is very clean and I can’t say enough nice things about every employee I have met.

I have been working in the Pastoral Care Department since April. This place is “heavenly”!
