Nice big store, the staff members are very friendly and helpful. The store has a wide range of outdoor products and brands to choose from. While the store has a lot to offer, you don’t feel like you’re stepping on toes when perusing. Will definitely come back!

Purchased an Osprey Daylight Plus Backpack about 2 years ago. The bag had wear and tear from travel up and down the east coast and across the US. Osprey offered a lifetime warranty on the product and REI shipped it out. They could not repair the bag and so the completely replaced it for a new one free of charge. The review and shipping took about a week and was here within a few days of reaching the Osprey warehouse. Today I go pick up my new bag. Great service on REI's part and great warranty on Osprey. Very happy with my purchase and these companies. Thank you. From a Happy Camper.

Small co-op, has bike shop, climbing gear, bikes, camping gear, apparel, and shoes. Great customer service and clean store.

Today I went to REI in Flagstaff to look for a specific bandana I had seen online. I finally asked one of the sales representatives, Cody, and he looked it up and found they only had 1 left in the store. Cody looked all over the store and found it for me! That's great customer service!

This review is for employee Brandon. He was inconsiderate, short and unsympathetic to a faulty part on a camp stove. he would not work with me to find a solution to the problem. Absolutely does not live up to the customer service standards of other REI employees I have had the pleasure of interacting with.

Good store well presented, organized and kept up. Friendly knowledgeable staff. Not the biggest, but decent selection in most categories.

The bike repair team was super helpful. They got my inner tube changed in fifteen minutes.

This is a great place to get some last minute gear before that Grand Canyon hike. They have a reasonable selection of packs, sleeping pads and bags, tents, stoves, clothes etc. If it comes from REI, it’s quality, in my opinion. One of the employees recommended some backpacker’s pantry “ Pad Thai Chicken” when i asked about the food options and now it’s my favorite hiking meal.  Way to go REI

REI is basically the big box solution to mountain sports. Merchandise is high end and the store can accomodate the casual hiker and a mountaneer looking to summit K2. Employees like their jobs here, a sign of good management.

TLDR: This location does not inspect returns before putting them for sale in returns rack. Over this last weekend I was in the store and decided to stop by the returns rack. I have been wanting to check out those portable solar panels and they happened to have one on the rack that was returned. The tag said "never used, customer just didn't like it." Okay I thought, sounds fine, I'll try it. So I get to the counter and notice there is a ton of dirt on the unit. I asked the sales person about it and she calls the manager over. He goes on to say that he remembers the return and that they tested it/ works fine. I was happy with that new story and even though the dirt and wear on the item didn't match the original story; I thought I'd roll the dice. Got home and the thing doesn't work. Tried a few different devices with it and nothing would charge. So with nothing to lose I opened it up and found one of the wires from the panels to the USB port was disconnected. A few minutes with a soldering iron and I was back in business, the panel now works great. In summary the staff here clearly did not test the return and just took the word of the customer. Fortunately I got lucky and was able to repair the item with no additional cost and minimal time however it is something to know when shopping here.
