REI Tax Firm - Michael Plaks, EA

I've just begun using Michael's services and have been extremely impressed so far. I recently sat down with Michael for a consultation and he provided great advice for moving forward in my real estate investing career. I will definitely be back for additional consultations. Also, I've purchased his Real Estate bookkeeping class that he offers online. It includes recorded DVDs and PDFs of a previously held class. It has been well worth the money spent. It includes plenty of good advice and I like the fact that I can rewind or pause the presentation in order to take notes or further research a topic. I do enjoy taking classes in person, but I really appreciate that he offers the recorded versions too, for the convenience and ability to go at my own pace. To sum up, I highly recommend Michael's classes and consultation!

I've been using Michael for 6 years now, and I realized very quickly that I had finally found a tax preparer that KNOWS real estate and can advise and prepare tax returns for a real estate investor. Great staff, great processes..you can send and receive documents electronically on a secure portal, so there is no need to go to his office unless you choose to do so. I was very pleased with my consultation with Michael Plaks. He was very thorough and did his best to answer my many questions. The consultation was supposed to be for one hour but he went well beyond the allotted time in order to adequately answer my questions. After leaving the consultation I had a very good understanding of the things I need to do from a taxation stand point to make my real estate investing business more profitable. I plan to use his services next year when I file my first business tax return and would highly recommend him to others. Money well spent.

I first heard Michael speak at a couple of events I went to a year ago. Since then I've been fortunate enough to talk to him many times. The classes I've attended by him and his DVDs I've ordered have been very helpful. This will be my first year doing taxes as a full time real estate investor and I can't imagine using anyone other than Michael Plaks to work with. I have no doubts.

Michael was fantastic! There was an initial mix-up on the scheduling with Michael. His assistant accidentally put the wrong date on when we were to meet. Although it was not a big deal to me, Michael went to great lengths to make it up to me and show me that he valued my time and apologized for the inconvenience. We met the following day and he answered all my queries at length. We spent a good deal of time talking about all walks of investing as well as many different aspects of my business that I had questions on. I would definitely recommend Michael again. His service was top notch, his expertise was excellent, and he made me feel like he was very carefully analyzing all the questions I asked him. 5 stars very well deserved!
