~This type of exercise using toning tables stimulates the "stretch reflex" in muscle tissues and increases muscle tone. The movement produced by these exercise machines increases the blood and lymph circulation, without increasing the heart rate or blood pressure. In turn, the increased fluid circulation stimulates the body to eliminate natural waste products that have built up in the cellular system.
~1st Benefit ~ Increased circulation of blood, lymph and intercellular fluids, a change that is caused by the movements of different parts of the body by the table. Not only does this help the body eliminate excess fluid, the increased oxygen usage burns calories in the form of fatty tissue. Since this is accomplished without exertion on the part of the client, there is no lactic acid build-up to produce muscle soreness, no elevation in the heart rate, and no increase in the blood pressure.
