Join us in remembering the 125 years of community policing that ended February 8th 2018.
The Midland Police Service has been responsible for delivering a high level of service to our Community for over 100 years; now with a population of almost 17,000 residents, covering 30.2 square Kilometres we answer more than 8000 calls for service yearly.
In order to address the needs of the Community and the everyday challenges of policing, the Midland Police Service has a complement of 26 sworn Police Officers, 10 full-time Civilians and 12 part-time Civilians.
In September 2017, Midland Municipal Council voted to migrate policing responsibilities to a contract with the Ontario Provincial Police. The Midland Police Service is expected to be disbanded in early 2018.
Working in partnership with our community, the Midland Police Service was dedicated to the protection of life and property, the preservation of peace and improving the quality of life for all for 125 years,
