Our family from all over came to celebrate my Mom’s 87th birthday today. We basically took over the community room for most of the afternoon, and the staff was so amazing and helpful. We were concerned about upsetting everyone, but it seemed like it worked out well! Thanks to the staff on the 4th floor! You guys Rock!
Everyone there is very helpful. I wanted my friend to have a haircut and blow try but it looked like it hadn’t been touched I’d pay to get a short cut again which is what I asked for the first time. I hope when I visit my ftriend she will have the right haircut. Kat the social worker was very friendly and promised she would look into it. The nurse at the nurses station was helpful in giving her some of the candy and gum everyday. I put her goodies in a lock box because the previous batch disappeared in 2 days. There is no smells of urine and the areas are clean.
This review is going to explain my good experiences as well as those that were not so good . Starting with the good , The nursing staff at JDT VILLA is attentive. The social worker has a family-strong ethic and is always responsive to my questions and concerns. OT and PT are very caring, very professional and competent. The dietitian , who works behind the scenes, does a great job with the special diet menus. Front desk staff are always very friendly and helpful. Housekeeping is great at the Villa. Facility is kept very clean. Single occupancy rooms with private baths a big plus! Not so good, the kitchen staff sent a different patient's meal to my father twice. This is dangerous for someone who's on a special diet . The kitchen staff neglected to pick up my father's menus choices several times. Because he received food that he did not order, there were several meals he did not eat. Language barriers. My father was unable to understand several staff members who had very strong accents. It's very important for patients to understand the care that they're getting, the directions that they're being given, and the questions they are being asked in order to facilitate proper care.
After an extended stay at The Renaissance, my Dad , Adam, sadly passed away. The amount of caring & support that my family received from the staff & other patients was unbelievable. Kat, the social worker, Nick- the nursing staff, Shannon- head nurse, Allison the PA, & Dr. Billard always took the time to make sure we understood the circumstances my Dad was facing. Julio-who bathed and readied my Dad for the day , would lift him out of bed and into his chair, in addition he always had a cup of hot coffee ready for my mom when she was visiting. Karen the night aide, treated him with care & made sure his nightly needs were met. She never took any shortcuts and had healthy respect for him. Never did we think that in addition to receiving quality care for my Dad, that our family would make such wonderful friends and a truly caring support system.
The best rehab facility hands down. An absolute pleasure as soon as you enter. The staff is top notch. The care is awesome. My mom has been a frequent flyer there.
My father is in the rehab after surgery and it is a wonderful facility. So clean. Lots of space for visitors. And the staff is terrific.
Highly recomend. Evening arrival nurses and staff immediately made him safe, comfortable and provided quick meal. We knew he was in good hands. Thankyou JDT
The staff I dealt with was kind and professional. The Covid, security system, and guest passes are reassuring, for the safety of residents and their visitors.
Shout out to the nurses and aides at Lincoln Park Renaissance dementia unit - 1st floor. I am so thankful for the care they provided my mom during her stay. They are compassionate to the residents and always took the time to answer my questions and concerns. Everyone has a smile on their face too so you can tell they enjoy working there. The night staff is amazing too. Safety is their number one priority and for that I am grateful. Special thanks to Marlene, Carol, and Evelyn!! Definitely a 5 star recommend all around!!
Since the last 5 years my dad has been at Lincoln Park, I have meet the most caring, understanding, and hard working staff. I would like to mention Sheila In activities, she is a pleasure to see and always willing help. She goes above and beyond to give her all. She’s a wonderful person to have on your staff. Also, Dina at the front desk, always a pleasure to talk too. She helps with all my questions, as well as set up visits during Covid to see my dad. These two women are a great asset to have on your staff.
