This hotel is truly a gem! Upon entering, I was greeted by a welcoming staff at 11:30 PM, who swiftly checked me and my party in and made sure we were aware of all the amenities afforded us. When we got to our rooms, the decor blew us away! Additionally, the rooms were clean and spacious, above and beyond what we needed for a turnaround business trip. Parking was easy and check out was a super cinch. I will definitely stay here again when doing business in the area.
Checked in this afternoon and Adaline at the front desk was amazing. She found us a room with a jacuzzi tub and we loved it. She was fast, efficient and personable. We stayed here because we went to a concert and it was BUSY. The bartender was busting his a$$ and was so pleasant and crazy efficient. Try the prime rib sliders..yum! The rooms were spacious and the bed was super comfy.
Booking online was fast and easy, and I got a good discount with my AAA membership. Check in was smooth and seamless, a couple questions and we were on our way. The room was nice enough, nothing extravagant, but certainly nothing to complain about; The bed was comfortable and the AC worked great. Soleil had a great breakfast with great service. The location was ideal, as we were there to see a concert at the Desert Diamond/ Gila River Arena. We parked in the hotels garage and didn't worry about finding parking for the show. It was a quick walk to the arena and restaurants around it. Will definitely stay again if anything ever brings us that way again.
It wasn’t necessarily a disappointment but it definitely was not what I was expecting! The hotel looks dated and just needs a refurb. Our tub in our room was not clean… huge disappointment and the carpet had stains on it. We went downstairs to see if any other rooms were available but the hotel was booked. We probably won’t be going back here unless there’s some improvements. Nice team there, very helpful and attentive! Great location and plenty to do within the area that doesn’t require a vehicle.
First, we always look and promote good and positive attributes! If you are a sports enthusiast, this is the IDEAL Hotel. Excellent service, clean with an exceptional bar and lobby. Great room, quiet, clean, odor free and well organized, with suitable desk space. TV with top quality picture and channel selection was perfect. Small balcony was a plus for evening relaxation and enjoyment. The shower was great with a terrific shower head. The ONLY complaint we had was a parking charge of $20. At the room price, the hotel parking should be NO charge!! This was NOT included in the ad, by the Hotel or HOTWIRE. I think we deserve a $20 refund. This was the only complaint. This one item will prevent a revisit unless we receive a refund. Many Thanks for the opportunity to review this fine Hotel less charging for parking.
We absolutely loved staying at this hotel. They only complain I have is that the room was a little warm but that is understandable due to being on the 9th floor. Other than that the room was extremely comfortable and VERY clean. The location was perfect, so much to do around within a walking distance, and the staff was very friendly especially the valet parking guy Jacob. If we ever travel this way again, we will definitely be staying there.
Great rooms. Friendly staff. Went to the spa. Booked a package at the spa: massage, facial, manicure and pedicure. Once my first service was complete I waited in the lounge for my massage. I waited for over an hour when they finally said I was only booked for a facial. I was able to get my massage but I had to return for manicure and pedicure the next day. The following day i arrived 10 minutes early for my appointment. The nail tech was already behind. They had only been opened less than hour. I waited 25 minutes for my pedicure. When the nail tech finally started my manicure I asked for my cuticles to be trimmed and taken care of. Nail tech said she didn't have time. So they are running over 25 minutes late and I couldn't get my cuticles even trimmed. All the services were good but very annoying that I had spread my spa day into 2 days and then not even get my nails done properly.
I had stayed at the Renaissance previously, and though I’m not an avid traveler I was looking forward to staying there again. The facility is nice, clean, and relatively new. Other than room doors apparently designed to slam closed as loudly as possible, it is pleasant and peaceful. Most importantly, it is super-convenient for attending conferences held in the facility or events nearby. On my most recent stay, I was asked at check-in if I would be requiring housekeeping service. I declined, specifically asking that my room not be cleaned during my stay. Four days in, I went back to my room to find that it had been cleaned anyway. This is a problem just in principle; but it was especially alarming because I had prescription drops, ointment, saline, and implements in the bath area to care for my eye following extensive surgery. I had taken extreme measures to ensure these items had been kept clean and isolated from possible sources of infection, and I found them all neatly rearranged near the bathroom sink, in a completely unknown state of cleanliness. Despite being highly distraught, I immediately went to the front desk and as calmly as possible tried to explain what had happened and ask who to talk to and if anything could be done. The woman at the desk reiterated several times that she was sorry, but in no way indicated she understood the depth of my anxiety or the seriousness of my concern. I would be the first to say that the likelihood of blindness from inadvertent infection would be low, but the mere possibility seemed to be actively brushed aside. Near the end of our discussion, I pointed out that it didn’t seem right for my employer to pay nearly a thousand dollars for me to stay there, and keep up their end of the agreement, if the hotel could not keep their agreement to just *not* touch my things. The response to that was to offer me a voucher for a free drink at the bar. That turned my distress to anger, and I had to walk away. By chance, my boss’s wife had stopped by during this interaction to invite me to join her table for lunch. As we departed the desk, she offered to run to Walgreen’s to buy me some alcohol to at least try to disinfect what I could. That she immediately understood and took responsibility – for a problem she hadn’t caused - only underscored the lack of the same by the hotel staff. This is perhaps an isolated event, and I am almost certainly more sensitive to it than most. Still, if you do not wish intrusion into your room, be advised to hang out your “Come back later” door sign even though the wording suggests you *want* housekeeping service, just not now. And hope that this episode is not an indication of more systemic issues at this facility.
The Renaissance was awesome! We got inconveniently relocated here after our original hotel caught on fire but it turned out to be even better than our original place! Upgraded us to a suite no questions asked, Dan provided great service at the bar, every one was very friendly, got pedicures at the spa with my daughter and it was perfect, awesome pool, very accommodating staff, and what a great location! West gate is like a little mini Las Vegas! Lots of options for shopping, drinks, food! Will stay again!
This is the third time I have stayed at the venue and worked with their amazing team for the event my ministry has in Phoenix yearly. I mean- they are top notch! The accommodations are beautiful and clean and their team is super pleasant and easy to work with! This is my absolute favorite venue to come to every year because I know that they will be attentive to the needs of our event and are super kind, no matter what we need! I do not have such an experience anywhere else! A shout out to the events team: Stacey, Lynn, Juan, Hilton, Tany, Laura, and so many more!! You all are awesome and great leaders! I can’t wait to work with you all again!
