The Renaissance Riverview Plaza Hotel, formerly known as the Adam's Mark Hotel, is a high-rise hotel in the U.S. city of Mobile, Alabama. Completed in 1983, the building rises 277ft and 28 stories. The Renaissance Riverview Plaza Hotel is the second-tallest building and largest hotel in Mobile and the tallest hotel in the state of Alabama.Upon its completion, the 374ft and 277-unit Adam's Mark Hotel became the second-tallest hotel in Mobile, after the 325ft Mobile Marriott, and the third-tallest building in the city. The building later fell to fourth-tallest upon the 1994 completion of the 325ft City-County Administration Building. The building underwent a $5 million renovation (USD) in 2002, and in 2008 a large spire was constructed over the existing structure. The spire was designed to complement the spire of the RSA Battle House Tower; in shape and design, the two structures are nearly identical. With the addition of the spire, the Renaissance Riverview Plaza Hotel reached a new height of 536ft, allowing it to surpass the Mobile Marriott and City-County Administration Building to become the second-tallest building in the city and the tallest hotel in the state.

This could be such a cool hotel. It is a gem of a location, the view is breathtaking and the facilities are very good but… there is not enough love here from the staff to make it a complete experience. Passion for running an amazing facility is not evident. No one offers help and people seem to want to avoid you or have “what do you want?” attitude versus “how is your stay attitude.” Breakfast should be elevated as it is a step down from a roadside hotel. Why not repair and clean your elevator?

Returned home earlier today following a 3-night stay to attend a convention. There was a miscommunication by a third party regarding my reservation, but it was promptly resolved by the hotel desk after some information gathering. I'd like to commend Tameika for her professionalism, patience, and courtesy as the issue was resolved. The double room I stayed in was spacious and comfortable. The room was very clean from the tabletops through the bathroom. The bed was comfortable with extra pillows nearly body-sized pillows, not the small 'cushions' most hotels provide. The lobby was spacious and always clean despite the convention traffic. I did not partake of the bar or restaurant, but it appeared clean, comfortable, and welcoming. The parking garage was a very short and easy walk, and always appeared safe and clean as well. Several locally-owned, eclectic restaurants are an easy walk within several blocks. And while I lacked time for sightseeing, I was aware of several historical sites nearby. I'd certainly recommend this hotel for anyone staying in Mobile. I hope to return sometime myself.

This hotel has it all. The service desk was fast and efficient, and willing to help with anything that was needed. The valet and concierge staff was very kind and courteous. They escorted me to my vehicle in the garage to retrieve my luggage and laid everything out for me in my room, even hanging my suits up in the closet. The rooms were very well equipped. I was attending a conference inside the hotel and everything was set up perfectly for what we needed. The kitchen staff did outstanding preparing lunch daily and with the banquet preparations. Looking forward to attending additional conferences here in the coming years.  Rooms: The rooms are perfectly equipped with everything you could need.  Nearby activities: The hotel is located right on the river in downtown Mobile. There are countless restaurants and shops within walking distance.  Walkability: Everything you could want is within distance, including shops and restaurants.  Food & drinks: There is a Cafe and full service restaurant inside the hotel.

We have stayed several times at this property.  This is one of the nicest hotels that we have ever seen.  The rooms & property are very well maintained, and the service is excellent.  We always enjoy our stay here and we will definitely be back to stay again!  Rooms: Clean rooms, comfortable bedding, and all the luxury amenities are included.

I recently visited this hotel for my Easter holiday, and I have to say, I was thoroughly impressed with my dining experience. As someone who can't eat dairy, I was concerned about finding suitable meals, but the staff went above and beyond to accommodate me.  I was pleasantly surprised when they offered to make special vegan plates just for me! It was such a relief to have a delicious meal without worrying about my dietary restrictions. The food was absolutely delicious, and I couldn't have been happier with the service.  I am so grateful to the hotel for their excellent service, and I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a fantastic dining experience. The staff was incredibly friendly, and it's clear that they take great pride in their work. I will definitely be back for my next holiday!

It was very nice. The price is a tad steep for the amenities provided no microwave, no utensils, but there was a coffee machine and refrigerator as well as two small glasses but the view was very nice from the 12th floor. The housekeeping was very nice compared to most hotels I've stayed in.  The shower was very nice but it felt like I had broken the knob because of its strange mechanism which I wasn't a fan of but it's a very small complaint about a very nice room. Everything was very comfortable and the experience was worth the price.

Great location, excellent service and beautiful view from our room of the river. The restaurant downstairs was fabulous and the live music was the perfect way to unwind after a day of driving. The concierge lounge was nice, and Karen made us feel like old friends. Overall great stay!Rooms: 5/5

Excellent choice when staying downtown Mobile. The waitresses are super nice and accommodating at the restaurant in the hotel. The view of the river is definitely worth it. The hotel has been updated and the rooms are very nice.Rooms: 5/5

Loved the location. Valet leaving was great! He helped me with my bags and had the car ready on time. The bed was comfortable and the room was clean and quiet, with the exception of the one towel. Could easily have been a housekeeping person's make up smudge so I wouldn't hold it against them. Loved the location! Staff was very nice. Will be returning!  Rooms: Bed was comfy and had both foam and feather pillows.  Walkability: Easy to walk to food and coffee. Not to mention, they also have a bar, restaurant and coffee shop onsite, too!  Food & drinks: Excellent restaurant Squid Ink around the corner and a coffee shop Serda&#39;s on the same block.

I stayed here on 6/2/23. The hotel was beautiful. I got a to go order from the restaurant and my food was delicious. Parking is expensive, but expected from a downtown hotel. Upon checking out the young lady at the front desk was clearly not in a good mood. I was polite and gave her a pass, but each guest should be greeted and treated in a kind manner. Overall, I enjoyed my stay.
