Renee's Twisted Scissors is a Full Service Hair, Barbering and Nail Salon. Our Full Service Salon welcomes walk-ins and appointments with our Licensed Hair Stylists. We provide Women, Men and Children Hair cuts, Perms, Colors, Up-Do's, Waxing and much more in a fun and friendly environment. Guys Night, Bridal Parties, Sweet 16 Birthday Parties, Children's Birthday Parties. Please call ahead for pricing questions or stop in to speak to one of our staff members. Gift Certificates can be obtained during business hours. We provide Manicures, Pedicures, Gel Polish, Acrylic Nails and Nail Art Services by appointment. Our salon is a non-smoking business and comply with all laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and Ordinances of the Olyphant Borough. We are looking forward to Servicing you, your Family and Friends!

Renee the owner is friendly and does good work and takes her time while working on her clients hair.
*pic attached ¹ hair color I went in with ² placement wanted ³-⁶ color after first appt 7/8 color after "fixed" I had a horrible experience honestly. I went for a balayage. Upon sitting down in the chair I showed a picture of what I liked placement wise because I know colors will not be exact and said I think we're going to bring my natural color down so that the red in my hair is gone. She told me "no it's fine when the toner goes on it will balance it out". Well it did not! I ended up with spots of red and highlights on the top of my head which had harsh lines, didn't want harsh lines that's why I WANTED a balayage. I also had different colors all through my hair, light brown roots, red middle, and 2 tones of blonde. I told her I didn't like it because it was not what I wanted done and I paid $165w/tip I was told to come back there next day and she would cover the red with the light brown I wanted and soften the roots. Well I now have 6 colors in my hair and it's NOTHING CLOSE TO WHAT I ASKED FOR. I started crying again because now I feel like it's worse because is really dark brown. I note have to do an all over color of brown to try to fix this. Yes that was offered to me but I said "no can I just please get back like half of my money because neither time was it anything close to what I asked for" She said "We don't offer refunds and we TRIED to fix it for you" I get they need to pay for the products used that's why I only asked for half of my money back and honestly if this was made right by at least giving me something back I wouldn't leave such a bad review because the owner who did my hair seems like a very nice person. It still comes down to the money I saved for 3 months to get my hair professionally done so it was what I wanted and now my money is in the garbage and my hair looks horrible! The trim is also uneven but that's there least of my worries. Now if I want it done the way I asked for in the first place I'm going to have to wait awhile and pay over $250/300 from my consultation I went to with another place.
Renee is super friendly and the salon has a great atmosphere. My 10 year old daughter and I both got a fresh new cut. Love it! Today was our first time visiting the salon and we felt very comfortable. We will definitely be returning customers in the future! Thank you Renee!
I found Renee while searching for a new stylist certified in Brazilian Blowouts and I am THRILLED I did. I went in yesterday for a color refresh and Blowout and Renee was amazing! She finally achieved a color I've been looking for I am still amazed and did a fantastic job on my blowout. She even showed me how to style my hair when I commented I would love to actually know how to curl my hair the right way. I really can't say enough how thankful and wonderful she is and what a great job she does. Thanks Renee!
