Renner Middle School PTA is a noncommercial, nonsectarian, nonpartisan association. PTA members also maintain membership in Texas PTA and National PTA.
Renner Middle School was established in the 1990-1991 school year. The campus location was on Plano Parkway in what is now known as Shepton High School. Upon opening, the school also housed fifth grade students from what is now Huffman Elementary. The school relocated to its current Parker Road location in August of 1998.
The school was named after the town of Renner. Formed in 1896, the town was bounded on the north by Frankford and Renner Roads and on the south by McCallum Boulevard. The town ran west of Coit Road to east of Preston Road. The town of Renner had a one-room schoolhouse and was home to around 500 residents. It was consolidated into Dallas in 1977.
PTA is a powerful voice for all children, a relevant resource for families and communities, and a strong advocate for the education and well-being of every child.
