Amazing service I love the energy as soon as I walked in Joseph greeted me & asked me what I was looking for he gladly assisted. He was super nice and outgoing. Great management Letha was very professional and friendly as well. Great team work and I’m happy with my new set of couches definitely will be back for more items.
The rating at this location definitely should tell you something. I wish I would have read the reviews on this place before ordering their junk. The management team and the employees are unprofessional, rude, and careless. I’ve never experienced anything like it. I ordered a $2,000 dining table. It came damaged and half the chairs are broken. They never followed through with making this right. After being told BY THE MANAGER that I would be receiving new items I never did. This was months ago. Then stupidly, We decided to get a couch set just recently even though we knew these people are a nightmare we needed something quick. I called them because I had been charged the monthly payment before I even received the couches only a few days after I ordered. The manager quickly became defensive and started yelling and being completely unprofessional. 2 weeks later, The couch came and it was not only damaged but USED! So he told us he would re-order a set and call us when it’s ordered. Day after day we called after not getting a call regarding this and we kept getting told they were going to send us an email to have us sign a new contract for the new set. Never did. 5 days later my husband called and the manager lady got on the phone. She was literally snapping at my husband and being completely inappropriate and rude just as she was with me previously. We called corporate twice. The first time we were told that the district manager would call us within 24 hours- never did. So we called a week later and demanded that somebody do something about our situation. We were told that they were escalating it to the regional manager and that we’d hear back within 48 hours. NEVER DID. This whole chain is a big joke. Do not do business with these people. I promise you will regret it.
Manager Lisa was very nice but 10/10 don’t recommend getting a tv from them , I moved and clearly I moved the tv myself in an SUV all by itself it’s 70’ nothing else would fit . And I haven’t even had 4 months with it and it don’t work . She pretty much told me I’m stuck with the tv she will discount the tv $300 which I could of bought 2 70’ for the price they are selling it to me , then offered me a discounted another tv . Are you absolutely insane ? So I’m paying off a broken tv then offered me to pay off another tv that MIGHT work for longer than 4 months . Her saying was “ it’s brand new “ exactly it’s a brand new tv . How is it not working ?
The floor workers are professional and respectful, management Lisa in the other hand is rude and unprofessional with the customer, she was unpleasant to talk to and doest try to help or fix the problem your having.
Wish I could give 0 star only place I know where they enjoy lying to their customers ordered stuff 2 weeks ago finally had a set delivery date for today and guess what pushed back yet again so they want me to pay for my items for last 2 weeks but have yet to receive them because they have no drivers but yet as he explained to me they have a quota to meet. Witch means they can keep selling stuff even though they know they don't have no way to deliver it horrible waste of time and money
I hate the customer service with the woman general manager very unprofessional
Michael helped me it was easy and quick and the customer service was excellent. My furniture was supposed to be delivered yesterday but I had to cancel because someone bought me furniture. So when I called to cancel he was just as helpful and it was just as easy as getting it in the first place. If I ever need something else I would definitely use the Waukegan Store.
Never am I coming back... I signed a contract but I didn’t sign up to get harassed, I was late 2 payments due to COVID. I communicated with them and let them know what was going on. They didn’t help, all they said was “you signed a contract”. What upset me the most was.. they came to my apartments, MY HOME and left signs on my door. You need a key to get in but somehow they did. They ripped the back of my couch when I moved and they were extremely unprofessional.. I didn’t complain because I understand things happen but to come and harass me after me being a good customer and a Pandemic came along and you feel no empathy?. Yeah never coming back, I’m glad I paid off and I’m glad I realized how bad of a business this is. I will not recommend to anyone!
They harass you for your payment when you tell them you can't pay it right now when your husband is in the hospital on his death bed and they say they don't care and they say if you don't pay right now that they will come to your house with police and get there stuff. Would not recommend anyone to get things there
I kept the Insurance after paid off my washer and dryer. I still had to paid out of pocket to get my washer fix. Because all Rent-A-Center kept telling me was For two months straight "We call them someone will call you." but no one ever call me or came and fix it. Washer was getting worse. So i paid out of pocket. Never again will I buy anything from Rent-A-Center. They don't stand by there products or there words.
