Donating and Shopping with a Purpose
The following are locations where Durham Rescue Mission supporters can donate their gently used items. All stores are open Monday–Saturday and are closed on Sunday, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day. Providing Rescue Missions Ministries Thrift Store customers and donors with a rewarding experience by recycling gently used items and helping to support the hungry and homeless at Rescue Missions Ministries. We strive to create jobs for the unemployed in the Triangle area and offer opportunities for volunteers to become involved in our ministry.
We will accept a variety of different gently used items you are looking to recycle: Clothes, shoes, antiques, books, CDs, collectibles, computers, dishes, DVDs, flatware, furniture, lamps, linens, pots, pans, records, rugs, small appliances, toys, vases, videos, and much more. You may drop off your tax-deductible donations to any one of our five locations. All proceeds benefit the Rescue Missions Ministries's ministry of helping the hungry and homeless of the Triangle area.
Exceptions for Specific Drop Off locations:
Washing Machines, Dryers, Refrigerators, and Stoves (excluding gas) are accepted at the Rescue Missions Ministries Thrift Store Brier Creek or Chapel Hill Locations. Large furniture items can only be accepted at store locations (excluding our Men's or Women's Division).
