Stayed here for over a week. Not bad. Rooms could use updating. Bathrooms are very dark. The general areas are well worn. The area is ok. Not the best. The laundry room was being used by the maids to wash towels so it took days to get in there and the front desk did not have quarters to use them. Other than that it was quiet and the bed was comfy.
As a former chef, the words TOO BUSY should NEVER come out of your mouth to a guest EVEN IF ITS THE TRUTH! Hospitality much? you wouldn't have a job if it wasn't for the GUESTS that you're TOO BUSY for. While packing my truck up to leave on our last day it dawned on me that a step stool would be incredibly helpful to pack my roof rack. It was 99+ that day and the roof of my truck was blazing hot. I asked the woman at the front desk and her reply was "THE MAINTENANCE MAN IS TOO BUSY, I CANT BOTHER HIM"!? Too busy? For a 3 second question? Also, you don't just have a step stool? You gotta call maintenance for that? It's not a burst pipe! Too busy to help a GUEST? To help keep him from BURNING his already sun burned arms and chest? Wow. We paid almost $2000 for a room for a week, THE LEAST YOU COULD DO IS ASK! Aside from that - the breakfast workers were lazy wouldn't put any fresh food out for the dozen people in line at 920, we couldn't get towels for the pool, our room didn't have any cook wear for us to utilize the kitchen and when we asked for a loaner pot at the desk we got told "nah". Very disappointed and will not be back.
Friendly staff and clean rooms. Prices have always been far steeper than they should for what you get here but aside from that it’s not a bad hotel. They upgraded me without me having to ask as a Marriott Ambassador member which was nice. My gripe is with housekeeping. Room had no body wash and only two washcloths for a two room suite. Grounds are ok but could use a freshen up.
I enjoyed my recent stay. Staff member, Adriana was extremely helpful. I spoke with her over the phone and had tons of questions. She answered each question and made sure to carefully review all of my requests with her colleagues. Each request was honored. Be sure to ask for Adriana! Finally, when checking out, she made sure to check and see if all went well. I will be coming back again.
We've been visiting this Residence Inn for years as a cheaper alternative to OCNJ. The rates are reasonable and we appreciate having a full sized kitchen and free parking. The hotel is always really clean and the staff is nice. We had a few issues with extra towel requests for the week that we stayed. Nothing earth shattering, but it took multiple requests to the front desk to get some extra pillows. I really wish they would reopen the pool here, though. It's been closed since Covid with no signs of reopening.
Interesting arrival, we get a room on the 4th floor and take the elevator up. There is a full size refrigerator blocking the hallway. My husband squeezed through and found a housekeeper to help him move it to the side so we could fit through with the rest of our stuff. A bit bizarre in timing, it was 4pm wouldn't you think if they were moving a fridge they'd finish the task and not just leave it? We got a 1 bedroom with a king bed and a sofa sleeper. Ended up being an accessible room which didn't matter to me. Our sconce light outside our room was missing the shade. Kind of tacky. In our room there was absolutely no sofa bed bag at all. We requested linens before heading out for dinner. When we arrived later we got the stack of linens but absolutely no pillows for the sofa bed. Kind of strange. I called and asked for two pillows and they were like we will see I don't think we have any down here. Thankfully they delivered two pillows. There was only two bath towels, two hand towels and one washcloth for the towel selection in the room. The room had some tired areas, the bathroom wallpaper was coming undone and had some stains to it. The bathroom door lock was wonky and seemed to self lock itself at times. The faucet in the bathroom sink was set so far back that you barely had an inch off the sink wall for the water to trickle down making it difficult to actually wash your hands. You could tell this hotel was older with hodge podge fixings. The pillows were severely lumpy. The king mattress was a taco. For breakfast it seemed sparse at first but then I realized it was pretty decent and the ladies were on top of their game. They kept stocking the food all the way to closing time. There were eggs and French toast sticks the soft edible kind not the deep fried hard ones and two different kinds of sausages as well as chobani yogurts and an oatmeal bar and then three kinds of cereal. They did have oat milk available as well. I'd stay here again if I had to but I didn't feel it was a $400 hotel experience at all but it probably cost that for it's proximity to Atlantic City.
The hotel is in process of a remodeling, which was not stated when I booked two rooms for business. The hall way on the fourth floor looked like a scene zombie apocalypse movie. I had to change rooms twice and my co-worker one. The first was due to the room appeared to be in process of remodel, the second room had no air conditioning room temp was 78* my co-workers bathroom was full of black mold. The elevator was coated in plasterboard dust. The only saving grace was Daniel, who was working the front desk, he was very helpful in getting me into a decent room. All in all not a pleasurable stay. Rooms: In need of a deep clean
This place looks like it is in decline. Rooms are way overdue for a refresh. Carpet worn, old TVs, and bath mirror frame coming apart. Bath light switch was installed upside down...lol. Pantry was nearly empty of food or drink choices. No Marriott status mention at check-in.
We book a room for 4 people, originally it was 1 King bed and 1 sofa bed. They upgraded it to two queen bed with separate bathrooms. Great values for what we paid for. There is kitchen inside the room we stay as well. Rooms: Spacious room, 2 queen beds with separate baths. 3 tvs with netflix you need to log in your account. Kitchen with dishes and basic cooking supplies.
