These folks were the nicest, sweetest, most caring crew I've EVER had the pleasure to stay alongside! Gluten issues? NO PROBLEM! Dairy free? NO PROBLEM! Clean rooms, comfy beds, good cable, full kitchen, nice courtyard with grills to cook on, and even had a traffic light to go right to the hospital across the street. WILL BE BACK!Rooms: 5/5
We stayed here for 2 nights. Upon arrival we were informed the room we booked wasn't available due to damage by the previous guest. But they were willing to put us in two rooms adjacent to each other. We obliged and took up residence. The rooms are spacious with comfortable beds. Our second room did have a drainage issue in the tub which the front desk said they have intermittent issues with. The hotel is rather quiet and the breakfast was ample. Thank you to the GM, Ronin, and the other young lady who helped us during check in.
This place has a lot going for it: clean room, helpful front desk, very good breakfast. 2 things are very bad. The tall maintenance man who hangs around the kitchen chastised me for leaving my china plate on the table Later threw a paper plate at the table in front of me when there were no plates at breakfast. Later the woman who heads the kitchen said it was okay to leave plates on table. Suggest you put a sign up as to what to do with china plate. Secondly, stock kitchen with at least a frying pan. No way to cook except microwave.
LTE. Was upgraded to a two bedroom suite. Staff was professional and quick at check in. Breakfast buffet was better than the average Residence Inn. Lots of crispy bacon. Staff at breakfast was excellent. Pool was closed. The fire pit and BBQs are perfect for cool evenings. Location is close to the highway. I would stay here again if I am passing through.
In our case it was a handicap room. The bed was waaay too soft. Impossible to get out of on your own if you are the one in need of a handicap space And lumpy at that. The toilet paper holder was broken so the paper kept falling off. The tub was extremely slippery. Remember this is all in a handicap room!Rooms: 2/5
Amazing staff. Very clean. Jenny is a shining star! She goes out of her way to assist guests and their needs. Truly was accommodating and encouraging to witness such a young person that possesses such an “old soul” maturity. Very refreshing to be sure. It was a great experience.
1 night stop with my family of 4 and I stayed in a 2 bedroom suite. Super friendly staff, clean room, comfy beds. I did not partake in the breakfast. Pleasantly surprised with the stay.Rooms: 4/5
Hi, lets start out with the staff was great. Checking in was fast and pleasant. Breakfast staff was pleasant and fast. Now comes the not so great about this hotel which I have stayed in Residence inn plenty of times. Breakfast food eggs and sausage every morning except Tuesday is bacon and sunday is bacon...gravy and biscuits only on Sunday. Also who wants pre packed soggy egg and sauge biscuits?? Great for on the go contractors but a no go for the guest. Now the rooms there was crumbs and chips in the couch which they came up right away to vacum out. I had to buy cleaning supplies the floor were so dirty see mop in pic and dog food under the fridge. I scrubbed down all the counters also and i bought a plug in air freshner. Ice machine in freezer did not work and fridge was turned off. Pans where rusty could not cook in them they were filthy! Dishwasher had dirty water in it it smelled! Now the noise we were woken up at 320am on Monday with a trash truck really?? Wed and thursday they came later 600am. This place is very run down for a marriott. We booked Sunday-Saturday but left Friday.
The entrance in the foyer is beautiful beautiful dining room The lady at the front desk when I checked in last night was simply awesome nice explanatory great directions explain things and did it all the smile on her face she was actually tied up when I first came in and she actually acknowledged me and smiled just awesome the rooms were beautiful and it is a great location beside Ruby hospital and WVU campus I will definitely stay here again when I have to come up for appointments and I would recommend it for anything The rooms had kitchens in it bathrooms microwave had plates stuff to wash the dishes at dishwasher nice TV bad all of the shower was awesome this is definitely a must-go if you're in town or I must stay! Nearby activities: Right by the stadium literally a two minute walk if you want to stay before a game right by the hospital if you're staying to see somebody you're having an appointment Great location there's also a running trail here.
Rooms and meals are very disappointing. This is really a 2-star hotel, not 3. The rooms are in sore need of an update. My stay was in May, 2023. I estimate it's been at least 15 years since the last renovation. Dark, tired, with old, cheap furnishings. The included breakfast is worse yet. Very dry eggs are complemented by even drier bacon. They managed to provide lousy salsa as well. Coffee was luke warm. Internet didn't work on the first night. Fitness center is spartan and the 15lb and 20lb weights were missing. I've stayed at many of Marriott's lower-end properties and I don't know how Marriott allows this property to go unimproved. It damages the brand and although I will be back to Morgantown for business, I will never return to this particular place.
