My first time here and I was pleasantly surprised. They have ample tables and plenty of slot machines. Food at the steak house was delicious and reasonably priced. There is a water park nearby and top golf. The rooms are updated and the staff was friendly. Indoor pool & spa are relaxing as they reserve a side for adults only. This is a great alternative to AC for a short weekend without crowds.
It's an ok casino. The hotel was extremely nice and clean. Staff was great. Food options were few but delicious. The to go Chinese food was on point, and the 24/7 diner had great options. The casino itself was pretty lacking. High table minimums, too many empty tables. Overall not a bad place, but Rivers in Schenectady is better, and Mt Airy in the Poconos is better casino wise
I'm only giving four stars for one thing, The water. My husband and I used to come here prior to covid so we understand why the resort has gone to their own branded water. But it'd be nice to see some spring water in the rooms or at least in the store downstairs. The rooms are spotless, the beds are cozy, everything is always maintained really well, and we absolutely will return.
This was my first time at Resort World Catskill and I loved it. I stayed at the Alder its right next to Casino. They were so nice. If you have children, this is the place to go. They had everything for them to do. Outside was so relaxing with games as well. When you are playing in the casino and just want to relax, you usually go up to your room but at the Alders you go outside and eat and drink and just take a break. Honestly, go their, you won't be disappointed. Also I spoke to a customer service representative for promotions and she was so great. Her name was Patricia and she really was helpful and fixed it right away. The person she had before me had cussed her out and she was still very professional to him.
King suite in tower was great, time spent in casino was fun. I had a problem with all the plastic cups. In the casino, I understand, but when sitting at a bar I expected a real glass. 20% tip automatically added everywhere and may not remind you. Bartenders were lacking skills, but still got a 20% tip. Food at Dos Catos was horrible and the bartender couldn't mix signature drinks. We had a better experience at the 24/7. All employees we talked to though were pleasant and helpful. This was a Thursday night, maybe they put their full A game on during the weekends.
Went do some gambling and have lunch. Did not do so well and lost $50 :. We had lunch at the Good Friends which is a noodle shop. I had the seafood dumplings soup and my companion had the roast pork. Both were very good. Bathrooms were spotless and staff was pleasant.
This hotel/casino use to be the best rooms. I would break about them. Now there going down hill. Past two times here, the toilet seat have been very loose. To the point where you'd pinched your thigh if you moved at all. Seat slides both ways so short very still. Black out curtains don't get it. Let's in light so what's the point. Shower handle wiggles and no happy medium with temp of water, very hot or very cold. Control arm needed to be fixed. What a shame, it was my favorite place to go.
Nice experience overall. Loved that place was non smoking! The facilities are well kept. The room was nice and spacious. Casino had plenty of options. The food options available were acceptable. Wifi was the only issue as we needed it to get some work done and it was not reliable at all.
Always fun, however the slot machine locked my card when we were almost winning and needed attendants. They were unable to get my player card working and said could not issue another one until the next day. Not sure what will happen the next time I go...if my points will still be there or not. Attendants offered great service but we felt as though we were jipped during our play time.
Stayed here on a business trip. The rooms are very large and beautifully appointed. All the staff were very friendly and accommodating. Since I'm not a gambler I really enjoyed all the other entertainment options available, especially the live music outside at the Alder. I definitely want to come back to the area to explore and will be staying at Resorts World when I do. My only reason for 4 stars is there is no instruction regarding the elevators and using your room key to get to your room. Once I figured it out, I noticed several people having the same issue over the course of my stay but I was able to assist them.
