John Thomas (aka Jack) founded retail Store Painting (RSP) in 2012. After nearly 20 years of painting several thousand locations for various fortune 500 companies as a sub contractor Jack decided to stop sub contracting and start serving his clients directly. The RSP business model is to have in house painting crews that travel any where in the nation instead of using sub contractors. Jack has watched time and time again the large national service companies he worked for had hired a few bad subs and destroyed there long term relationships with major clients. By using only in house employees that are trained by RSP’s own Experts he can insure quality control will be managed properly. By using no subs there is no duplication in overhead costs or additional profits from each layer of sub contract. This also allows a much faster response time to clients needs while the RSP teams are on site. By using in house crews efficiencies and learning curves are shortened therefore allowing RSP to be more competitive.
His vision and our mission is to offer the expertise of a large national company with the feel and pricing of a small local business. He has set up a team of experts with different skills from around the coatings industry to work together and calibrate to insure that all projects are specified in a way that best suits the client’s individual need. This team is spread out over several states working from there homes via the cloud, traveling to sites only as required for site inspections. By using this cloud based approach when ever possible business overhead cost could not be lower. These savings are passed on to the clients to keep the company very competitive.
As they move forward RSP will continue to innovate to keep cost down and collaborate to assure the best coatings systems are being used in the most effective ways possible.
