Not a bad place . Employees are hit and miss . Some are very helpful some are very sales oriented instead of helping and some just give you the feeling they don't want or care about helping you. Sometimes you get the feeling if you ask questions they look at you like your dumb. Also don't enjoy seeing employees eating their lunch while interacting with me but also didn't see a break room either.
What a completely adorable hobby store! You have a great space filled with an enormous variety of merchandise from the Gundam which I was searching for to model trains to drones. I could go on and on, there was so much stuff and the employees were so friendly and helpful. I really appreciate it!
I’m 13, and the guy that was helping me with my idle issue just flat out accused me by saying I wasn’t old enough to mess with one and I shouldn’t have on cause I’m a teenager, plus he said the reason why the idle was rough and the nitro slash wouldn’t stop moving is because of the acceleration trim, which is only for electric models, next time, maybe know what your talking about and not be rude to customers.
Great customer service today from David on my first-ever visit. He helped me find the right batteries, a nice charger, and a battery checker for my R/C plane. Very thankful he took the time to explain a few "gotchas" that I probably would have missed on my own. Made it easy to get up and running. Thanks HobbyTown!
Wanted to get an RC truck for my grandsons birthday. Not only did they have it in stock when I called I was told if they start getting low on stock one would be put in the back and held for me. The staff was very helpful in getting the truck and some extra parts. They were very polite and fast I was in and out in about 10 minutes
A great place to get gunpla! They have a wide selection and lot of tools. Half of the store is RC cars, planes, ect. All the prices were reasonable and were clearly marked. The staff were friendly and answered any questions I had. They also have a rewards program so after you spend a certain amount of money they give you in-store credit which is nice!I would definitely recommend this store for anyone interested in RC vehicles, gunpla, and other scale models!
Went in this morning to pick up some rc cars for my kids for Christmas. As I was checking out an older man named Mike. Asked me to move my truck because I was parked in a handicapped spot. I said I'm sorry I couldn't tell as the lot hasn't been plowed. He then said, "condescending, is it my first time there. I said no. He then said that I should know that the lines go in the opposite direction that I was parked. I then said again, "How am I supposed to know when you physically can't see the lines because the lot hasn't been plowed yet. At this point, I was walking out the doors to move my truck mid checking out. It was very unprofessional of Mike to act the way he did. I am also a small business owner, I would never ask a customer to move their vehicle for our plows. I'd simply have the plow come back the next day and hit that spot. Rather than inconvenience a customer and lose a sell. Had I not been checking out at the moment, I would have spent my money else where. I highly recommend looking for somewhere else for your Hobbie supplies. I will never shop here again.
Local hobby store with all kinds of hobby items. They had a decent selection of Legos, model cars, etc. Pleasantly surprised to find Radio Shack components in the store. Seems to be a popular store for the remote control car enthusiasts.
Super nice store with super nice and helpful people working! I've lived in the area for years now and had never checked it out. Lots of cool stuff, puzzles, rc cars, etc..not a ton in terms of overall art supplies mainly what I go to hobby shops for but I wasn't expecting a full blown art supply store lol..what they do have is definitely adequate and fairly priced, plenty there for your weekend hobbyist in that regard and lots of cool stuff for kids. I could've spent a good while just browsing, will most definitely be back! Check it out next time you're near downtown appleton!
It's an okay store for the items they carry. Just not much for me.
