We went to urgent care on a Friday in October and I would have given 1 star for that visit. I brought my 8 year old in and the nurse and provider were not very kind or patient, and in my opinion should not have been taking care of a child. Fast-forward to now, end of November. Came in with my sick daughter again. The nurse Ms. Evette and the provider Dr. Thompson were extraordinary! So kind and patient! Talked my daughter through her tests she was terrified to do. I also had to call the next day to ask a question and PA Mindy was super kind and accommodating on the phone! Overall, there will probably always be a time when level of care is not up to standards but I want to make sure to credit and thank the ones who treat their patients above and beyond expectations!
The Internal Medical department where Dr Akaka works is one of the best places I have had Medical care. They sometimes seem to talk to fast and makes you feel like they are hurrying you up but they have so many patients to see. But they will stay with you or refer you to answer your issues.
To whom it may concern, I would like to file a complaint on my current primary care provider Mayor Galima and case provider Regina High. I am incredibly disheartened and uncomfortable with the lack of professionalism and support that they have demonstrated toward me. I am a vaccine injured soldier, who is currently seeking treatment and help. My life was completely changed after I took the Pfizer vaccine. I was diagnosed with Pericarditis, severe chest pain, hypothyroidism, autoimmune disease, severe depression, anxiety, and panic attacks due to the trauma I have been facing ever since my health has been compromised. When I started seeing Mayor Gamila, almost immediately he seemed very hesitant and doubtful about my symptoms. I felt I was being gaslighted and that perhaps he thought I was lying. Most recently, the Oklahoma heart hospital requested to see my autoimmune panel. When Dr.Blake Morris looked at it he said I have an autoimmune issue due to the excessive amount of raised markers and that he was going to refer me to a rheumatologist however,Mayor Galima refused to approve the referral Dr. Blake Morris requested. In addition, Regina High said that Dr. Blake Morris, my cardiologist, doesn’t know more than Mayor Galima. Galima said he doesn’t see anything wrong with my autoimmune panel even though it’s elevated and there is a lot of red markers. On another occasion I brought my wife with me to an appointment with Mayor Gamila that made us both feel extremely uncomfortable, Mayor Gamila was very defensive with his body language and he said that I don't trust him. On that particular appointment day he didn't even want to read me back my results because he claimed I was being receptive toward him. Today, I received a nasty phone call from Regina High asking me why I didn't go to my appointment for my CT scan. I told her I had to reschedule because I currently have the flu in fact, my whole family tested positive for the flu and two of my daughters for Covid and flu. Therefore, I rescheduled appointment. Not only did Regina say I was lying about my flu diagnosis but that also the Oklahoma Heart Hospital said I was lying which was never said by them. I called them personally to verify they said that was never said to ignore what Regina high said. Oklahoma heart said they can’t have me sick while performing the procedure, therefore I rescheduled. I grabbed all my supporting documents that prove my whole family is sick. I told my platoon sergeant what was going on and proceeded to help me out by going to RACH with me to see what was going on. SSG went with another SSG and I asked nicely to speak to Regina High. She came out of her office being really rude questioning "who are you and you” in a disrespectful manner. She was going to have a sit down with Commander and Major Galima to speak about my issues. I requested to be in the meeting they said I’m not allow to attend the meeting. Regina refuse to see the paperwork from my Platoon sergeant that proves I tested postive for the Flu and my daughters have the flu and Covid. She laughed and said “y’all have a good day” with a smile on her face and walked off being rude to the platoon sergeant and the rest of the NCO’s there. Regina High has no professionalism and is extremely rude and Major Gamila seems very unwilling to work with me and gaslights me all the time. I requested to change my provider and case manager twice however, both times I was refused. They have been gaslighting me and telling me it’s not the vaccine I have proof from doctors to Army friends that have doctor friends in the Army they know it’s happening but don’t know what’s going on. This is sad that they made me take a vaccine that is destroying peoples life’s. I have reported people from fort bliss with fake vaccine cards higher ups. I was told to be quite and not say anything when I spoke to IG so yes I am salty because I have not received any help I am in pain for 14 months and only getting worse by the day.
Almost impossible to have your prescription called or faxed in they never get it. So you get a hard copy from your Dr. and drop it off and if your lucky next day pick up. We now just go to Walgreens for our prescriptions.
They do tests on Sunday's. Still don't like how they treat EFMP family members. The soldier's PA needs to learn how to put in for referrals in a timely manner as well. It shouldn't take weeks and multiple phone calls or visits to schedule an MRI. You claim the soldier needs to be "proactive" with their care, but the medical teams need to follow through on their end in order to do that.
Sad to know you've kept something to yourself for over 10 years and when you finally share it, thinking you'll finally get answer and will be able to act normal again but your mental eval is based off of 20 questions and "You're fine, fit for duty" when you're separating no one cares "Army Medicine" go spend your money and go off post. Because it''ll take 3wks to be seen just to wait another 3wks for referrals and to be put on meds. Should've just continued to keep to myself and fight it right?
The doctors here are actually for the person, they explain what to expect and why what is happening. My Diabetics was finally explained to me. Which I was never told before. I know now what to look for and what to do. Dr Hollander is the best, when it comes to Diabetes. He didn't rush us out like here is what is wrong and show us the door, he took his time, made sure we understood, and gave us his card so we can call if we had more questions. also we feel very strongly for our regular doctor, Dr Vorheis. she is also one that explains and doesn't rush you out. Her nurse is very friendly and patient with us. and then we have Loretta Centennial, from Dr Hollanders she was so sweet and talked to us as if we were friends for years. And she has a very friendly smile and worked with us on appointment. Thank you Loretta, Nothing but wonderful people all through Reynolds health clinic.
The wait ans sometimes the way attitude of the workers at the pharmacy people treat us a dummy we check in ro sit 2 hrs to get called to the window to be told have a seat and they will call you to window 7 8 or9 to pick them up another 15 10 45 minutes +. The old way we most time went in wait 10 15 minutes and got our medicine. We get a call from our Dr office that our prescription are done and sent to the pharmacy and can pick them up after 1 that day or the next day.you go and its not ready they ask who told you they are ready you say dr nurses and there attitude than is they don't know what they are doing they didn't fill out the Papworth and send it to them. They sent it by computer to them they seem to lazy to check it all the time system is broken and it worked great the last time should go back it worked and was not broken
They really care for your health in the clinic. When you have no appointment they will try to get you in the same day. The pharmacy is awesome too. Very good service. I arrived there late around 1600 and they still got me an appointment the same day. The pharmacy was about to close but they still accompanied me. I have not seen any other military facility that is such helpful like this clinic.
I always have a good experience at the VA clinic. Everyone is friendly and helpful. My doctor is quite a character and I always enjoy my visit with him.
