Rhodes Accounting & Tax Service launched in New Hampshire 6 years ago. So....let me tell you about my business. I have been doing federal income taxes for about 11 years, after I got hooked on it in college (2006) Yeah I was a late bloomer haha. Anyway..I had been doing them myself for a year or so prior to that.
After getting my degree from Everest University in Accounting & Finance I ventured forth being hired and doing tax returns from several known tax preparing agency's ie Liberty, Jackson Hewitt, Direct Tax Service and having my own small firm (25 clients). I had these clients in Florida the 6 long years I lived there.
All I can say about Florida is......Nice placed to visit...you don't want to live there if your still working for a living.
Fast forward to today.......................
I have since moved back home, sold my business in Florida to a good friend, partner and Tax Accountant. All my tax clients were passed onto a professional Tax Accountant, who I know will get good service. I was in business for myself for 4 years.
I did about a dozen returns last year for family and friends. Didn't make a lot of money, but it was nice to connect with them, and try to help them through the growingly complex system of Federal (and State) Tax returns. The IRS is in constant motion, with new laws starting and old laws (including benefits) expiring.
This year I'm a full fledged business. I am an E-File provider with a IRS designation number, a licensed Tax Preparer (7 years) and a registered company with a EIN number.
In addition I have had a number of clients come to me with those dreaded papers from the IRS and you know the one's I mean. Never a welcomed sight in the mailbox.

As far as price ?.........depends on the return for the most part. Every client is different. but generally cheaper than all the chain preparers, and a lot cheaper than an accounting firm.
