Richard A. Barkin DDS was born and raised in Massapequa, New York, and has been a resident of Rhode Island since 1985. In 1981, he graduated from George Washington University summa cum laude with a B.A. in Chemistry/Zoology, and then graduated from Georgetown University School of Dental Medicine, magna cum laude, in 1985. Dr. Barkin scored in the in the top 1% of the nation on the Dr. Barkin National Dental Board Examination. After graduating from the Georgetown University School of Dental Medicine, Dr. Barkin worked for three general/cosmetic dentistry practices in Barrington, Bristol, and Coventry, Rhode Island, before he opened up his successful private family practice in West Warwick, Rhode Island, where for over 28 years, he has excelled in all aspects of dentistry, and has provided the highest level of dental care for all ages – from toddlers to senior citizens. Dr. Barkin is committed to making each of your dental visits exceptional, stress-free, and affordable. He regularly completes higher education courses so he can provide you with the highest quality treatment and technology. He has been married to his wife, Erin, since 1980, and they have four wonderful children ranging in age from 13 to 29 years.
