Prior to the passing of our Son, I had looked for a funeral home to take care of the details for preparation for transport for our Son to another state. It was after hours when I called and left a message with a friendly woman who answered the phone. Within 5 minutes, Troy Richardson called me back. I had explained that we were within a matter of hours to days and that we were looking into transporting our Son to Texas for his final resting place. Troy was so compassionate as he explained the process that would be taking place. He listened to all my blubbering and never “rushed” me off the phone. Troy gave me his cell phone number so I could be certain to speak to him when the time came. He arranged all the travel details, and kept me updated every step of the way. Troy’s concern for our Son was as if it was his own family member and not just as “business as usual”. Needing a funeral home director is never something I thought I would have to have lined up, but I will never have to look for another one. Richardson’s Funeral Home will be the only place I’ll use or recommend if this unfortunate situation happens again. Thank you Troy for your professionalism, compassion and kindness. My husband passed away at the height of the COVID pandemic situation, and while Troy Richardson was trying to navigate the rules and regulation of the current pandemic situation, he still remained completely professional and compassionate throughout the entire process. His respect for both my husband and our family was extraordinary. All of his staff is wonderful, compassionate and professional. Troy is a true professional. He responded immediately and listened patiently to what my family circumstances were. We lost my uncle to tragic accident at work. He died out of state. Troy was very helpful and walked me through the process with such patience. He understood what my family's last wishes were. They did an amazing job in repairing my uncle. Troy Richardson and his entire staff were very caring, patient, helpful , knowledgeable and efficient during this difficult time for me and my family as we lost my dear wife, our beloved mother of my children Grandmother to my Grandchildren. They took the time to listen to what our needs were and then made recommendations and suggestions that they thought would satisfy our needs and were very cost conscious at the same time. The memorial services as well the burial services were beautiful and were carried out very efficiently as planned. Troy and his staff assisted in arranging for an escort, helped us arrange for the music, helped us pick and arrange for flowers. The programs for the service were perfect for the occasion. The overall coordination was top notch. I would highly recommend them to anybody. Troy I want to personally thank you and your team. You were wonderful.

What an amazing place and staff!! Troy was with me every step of the way! I was literally watching my dad fading away and I had no direction or idea on what to do once he passed. I called Troy to just understand what I should do and he was so informative, caring, and patient with me. Unfortunately, my dad passed the day after I talked to him.... I was in another world and so sad, so I did all I could think of and called Troy he was so caring and told me to take as much time I needed and he would come to hospice when hospice called. When he came he was so caring and sweet! And from there he just continued extreme care with my dad and my family. He was so responsive any time I contacted him, he was patience especially when certain details to the service would change, and always there to just talk it through! The service was beautiful and Troy plus Polly were by my side with encouraging words and support! The funeral home is so beautiful and amazing! Our family is so blessed to have the care from the family at Richardson! Thank you!

Troy Richardson at Richardson Funeral Home handles my mother's cremation in May 2020, and obtained copies of her death certificates for our family. I bought my mother's urn on-line to match my father's and asked Tory if he could put the remains into urns purchases from an outside source. He made a difficult time so easy with his professionalism and flexibility. I dreaded handling the cremation, afraid I would end up with a funeral director pressuring me to purchase more than I wanted, or refusing to let me buy my urn elsewhere. Troy was direct, never tried to sell me anything beyond what I originally said I was looking for, and was polite and timely. When paperwork had to be signed by relatives out of state, he worked to accommodate the exchange of forms using email or fax - very helpful. There is little worse than grieving the loss of someone you love and having to simultaneously figure out how to fax something in 2020 - during a pandemic. Oh! The pandemic. I will also remark that Troy observed social distancing and work a mask when we were in the funeral home and for our meeting. We felt very comfortable and safe in his facility. He answered all of my questions, was friendly, and expedited my mother's paperwork so she was cremated within a day of passing - very valuable in our faith. Lastly, he took my mother's photo and made an obituary page for her on the website. Thank you Troy, for your willingness to educate us on the process, for your compassion and for your professionalism.

When a loved one passed away suddenly while on vacation, Richardson was there to comfort our family in its most stressful time.
