A BRIEF HISTORY OF RR&O:
In 1951, John A. Richie first "hung out his shingle" in Cedar Grove, which was then an industrial suburb of Shreveport. He was joined in 1974 by his oldest son, C. Vernon Richie. John's youngest son, Byron A. Richie, joined the firm in 1981, followed by his wife and law school sweetheart, Laurel Fleming Richie. Paul D. Oberle, Jr. "joined the family" in 1996 and ultimately attained partnership some years later. Paul's wife, Maggie, is the firm's office manager and bookkeeper. In 2011, Margaret Richie Gaskins (formerly practicing as Margaret E. Richie), the granddaughter of John A. Richie and daughter of C. Vernon Richie, joined the firm as an associate.
