I was happy to find that none of the bad experiences reported here happened to me. I was greeted by pleasant and professional court officers at the entry who directed me to my destination, the Office of the Clerk. Once there, my wait was minimal and the staff I worked with were very pleasant, even friendly, and very helpful. They got me the answers I wanted and the paperwork I needed very quickly. Nothing but an all around good experience.
Awful experience overall. My family needed the house back for ourselves but the tenant keeps making up financial excuses. But how ironic of them to be owning three vehicles. I went on court for justice, not to be neglected of my say and speech. All the judge done for us was ignore us and side with the tenant. My kids are growing older and need their space. We can’t have everyone in the family living in a single room while the tenants are able to live in OUR house all comfortable. We are suffering while the tenants are living in heaven. We are looking for justice and fairness but the judges didn’t give us a chance.
The judge is very biased towards Landlord vs Tenants. The judge usually rules toward the favor of the tenant. I’ve been asking my tenant to move out for the past 3 years because I want my house back but when I went to court, the judge didn’t even give me a chance to speak resulting all my 3 kids 2 of them which are teenagers have to sleep in the same room. I expected the judge to give me a fair trial but no they didn’t. They were biased. Now my family of 5 has to sleep in one room.2 adults and 3 children, 2 children who are teenagers already. We have no privacy. We just want the house back because there isn’t enough space for my family to live in right now but the judge ruled in the tenants favor.
The court is very unfair, and is always protecting the tenants and not letting the landlords to ever explain what is really going on. They make a lot of landlords suffer a lot from the tenants. My family is has been trying to earn out house back, yet the tenants makes up a lot of excuses so they wouldn’t need to move. The court doesn’t ever seem to care about the landlords at all. They pity the tenants but the court doesn’t understand what some of the landlords are going through. They make the landlords go and suffer and sometimes they never earn their houses back. It is the LANDLORDS HOUSE. Not the tenants. They should make the landlords have a chance to speak so they would understand what the landlord are going through. Again, this court is super unfair.
I am not sure how other reviewers had bad experience. I did legal name change for both my kids, it was a long process but it went really smooth. They were clear with the process requirements and did their job effectively. You just have to be patient and careful with documents
From the second we walked through the doors, every person we met or spoke to was polite professional and kind. The court officer answered all our questions slowly and concisely. The judge was sweet and over the top helpful. All in all, a good experience.
The clerks and clerk supervisor are extremely rude. The clerk supervisor M.Shine especially is the rudest. If you don’t like your job change it. Simple! Miserable people.
Too much aggression,arrogance,extremely bad attitude,hostile,disrespectful, disgusting and provocative behavior among one of their security guards! I’m shocked about how they allow this bully and thug to work there! The supervisor should see how people are being mistreated and abused there! Appropriate action needs to be taken to stop this one particular security guard from abusing and harassing all the people who come there!
very nasty people most of them including the helping center person whos not even helpful at all. Unprofessional and nasty femal supervisor. Not shore who city let garbage behavior peop like that works over there They denied my civl that was medical case and instead cops get my info by them I was followed 24/7 after it for 6 months until just now when nypd get defined. They keept giving my car a ticket with lies even 2 am were as soon I leave my car to throw garbage out of it in the street I came back found a ticket. They tracked my car with ez paid my phone with Google map, I keeppt showing on my phone that someone is spacing on my phone singe all the time. One of the most disgusting and evil courts I ever seen with nasty employees
I was a landlord suing my tenants that ran away from my house. They destroyed walls, damaged floors and all fixtures. Damage was around 20.000 dollars, on top of that they owed me 3 month rent which was 4500 dollars. I took them to court for 5000 dollars. Even though I had photos and receipts to prove.Arbitrator refused to look at the evidence. To my surprise tenants admitted they owe me money. But he had a big smile and dismissed the suit. It looks like arbitrators and judges experience a lot of pleasure to rule unjust and see victims suffer even more. Probably same thing happen to them they suffered greatly and want to continue negative trend
