Our repair technicians, educators, and performers gather together to evaluate new instruments from the manufacturers every year. Our decision to rent them under our company name is based on our evaluation of quality of build, sound and technical performance, use within the learning environment, parts availability, and longevity. If it does not meet our strict standards, we do not carry it!

The mission of the RMI Learning Center at Rick's Musical Instruments, Inc. is to provide individualized music lessons for students located in Rhode Island ( RI ), Massachusetts ( MA ) and Connecticut ( CT ). Instructions, as well as extended learning opportunities, are provided for growing musicians. Both store locations host numerous comfortable lesson rooms with heat/AC, and beautiful recital facilities that host events such as brass ensembles and flute choir performances. Our facilities also includes luxurious waiting areas offering a leather couch and other ample seating, flat screen digital TV with cable, reading material, and Wi-Fi. Both locations are neighbored by restaurants as well.
The RMI Learning Center employs over 33 talented instructors who boast impressive resumes in learning and performance. Rick's prides itself on quality music teachers who are specialists on their chosen instruments. The RMI Learning Center also reaches out to home educated students to provide musical instruction. Additionally, the Center supports school music programs and directors as a provider of music advocacy, guest artists and clinicians, new teacher mentoring and professional development.
